"Hold still!"

Taehyung was trying to take a photo of Cassandra. However, she couldn't obey as people kept bumping into her as it was pretty dark. The whole room was pitch black, only the balls in their hands shining. Hers was light blue, her favourite colour. Taehyung's was red.
She held the ball higher, closer to her face. Taehyung smiled, trying focusing his camera on her. It looked somehow surreal, only faces dipped in colours somewhat visible beside the balls. Suddenly more illuminated balls appeared above them. Astonishing the whole crowd. They were smaller though, creating a night sky type of view. It was a magical sight.

As their days in Tokyo were slowly coming to an end, Taehyung couldn't help but think about what was waiting for him at home. Mostly practice, his band members, but also his little dog, that wasn't as little anymore. But in this moment he forgot about it all.
His gaze wandered around in the crowded space, pausing when it fell on Cassandra.
All those days he had never really admitted it to himself. Not until that night she had drunk a bit too much and called him pretty. She was pretty herself. Very, very pretty. She was beautiful.
They never mentioned that night again besides an "I got a headache" from her the morning after. And he was wondering. Did she remember anything at all? Probably not. However, he was still curious. Curious about whether she meant it or not. And how she meant it. And he had wanted to ask her plenty of times, but he never found the courage to. After all, it was too embarrassing. Especially if she didn't remember.

The sudden feeling of something tugging on his sleeve interrupted his thoughts then.
"Come, let's go to the next room!" Cassandra was dragging him through the crowd, making him almost trip. But he didn't say anything. He just followed her into the next room flooded in more colourful lights. Long lametta-like stripes hanging from the ceiling. Reflecting the colours on their shiny surface.
It was difficult not to lose your orientation in the middle of sparkling lights and people around you. And for a second he thought he had lost her in this sea, swinging around. Only to catch her taking a photo of him with a grin.
"Stay still!" she demanded playfully, before lowering the camera again. Looking at him straight. "Lower your face mask. I can't see your pretty face." Her voice was so soft. Her cheeks blushed as soon as those words left her lips, hiding them behind the camera again. He did as she asked without hesitation, not even worrying that someone might recognise him there. It was too dark anyway.
She quickly took the photo and Taehyung put the mask back on when pausing. His eyes searching for her again, finding her among the long silvery stripes. And he smiled. He wasn't sure but somehow it felt as he finally got his answer.
At least one of them.

There was another thing Cassandra admired about Taehyung. Sure they called him social butterfly and he indeed was. But besides just easily picking up conversations with strangers, he would also be someone who actually took the first step. If he saw someone sitting alone, he would go sit and talk with them. He was that type of person. And she really admired and perhaps even envied him a little bit for that.
It wasn't quite fair to her, they had both social placements in their astrological charts. However, somehow hers got buried deep down by doubts and insecurities while his was literally blooming. Yes, she envied him for that trait. She wanted to be like him. But it was alright. It was one of the traits that shaped his unique self after all. And somehow it didn't matter anymore. After all, it had been thanks to this specific trait they had met. Even if it had been online.

She smiled at the memory of it when seeing Taehyung making his way back. He sat down on the booth opposite to hers, noticing the drinks on the table. He grabbed the glass in front of him, taking a sip of his red wine.
"Look."
Perking up, he put the glass back down and looked over his shoulder at the direction she was glancing at. "W-what?" "Look," she repeated. "The band." She was referring to the four people on the small stage at the corner.
"What's with them?"
Sighing, she playfully rolled her eyes. "Look at the instruments they play. Saxophone and cello." His eyes widened, a grin spreading over his lips. He seemed to finally understand what she was meaning. "Ahh our instruments," he said while turning back to face her again. "But they're better than us."
"No surprise. I only played a bit in middle school and you.. you stopped when becoming a trainee, right?" He nodded, licking his slightly chapped lips. She sighed. "Why did we stop?"
"I didn't have time for it anymore."
Propping her cheek on her fist, she took a sip from her own red wine. Drinking it as slowly as she could so it wouldn't knock her out again. She didn't want to become drowsy too early. Not tonight. "And I guess I was never so passionate about music as I was about drawing."
"Isn't it sad? If we continued we'd have been so good by now." "We could've formed our own band." He let out a deep chuckle, shaking his head before leaning in. "You forget I'm already in a band." "Well, consider it your plan b then. If it hadn't worked out with your first one," she countered smirking.
