When Alpha, Beta, or Omega couples want to show who they belong to or who belongs to them, they form a mating bond. This is usually done during knotting for a more emotionally bond, the Alpha/Beta will bite the Betas'/Omegas' neck and leave a mark on their skin. This mark doesn't have to be on one place, and there can be more than one. To have a bonding mark the bite has to pierce the skin and draw blood. Scent marking is mostly used by Betas/Omegas to mark their Alpha/Beta mates. They will run their scent on their mates clothes by wearing the clothes and sleeping in them as well. Marking around scent glands is very dangers though, as it can cause swollen glands and won't be counted as a mark even if blood is drawn.
