I breathed out deeply and sat in my office chair, rubbing my eyes lightly when my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out seeing that I had received an email from Able, Josiah's manager. I groaned mentally, reading it quickly.

Good Afternoon Miss Brown, due to the events of last week Josiah is not allowed to leave his home. Because of this, I am asking if you feel comfortable enough to do house visits for the next 2-3 weeks. Please respond ASAP. Thank you

House visits? Gosh. I bit the inside of my cheek and dismissed the thoughts as security walked in the room, Behind them was Max

"Newhouse says that we have to be with him whenever he comes for sessions with you" I nodded at them and turned my attention to Max, who had made himself comfortable on the couch. I gave him a polite nod and turned to the guard

"You can wait outside, we will be fine" I said, glancing at Max. The door softly closed leaving us alone in the room, I scanned his appearance. His blonde hair was messy on his head, as if he had been running his hand through it. His attractive facial features were set in an hard expression and his blue eyes were trained on the floor.

"Max" His eyes snapped up to mine, his body language shifting in the blink of an eye. He sat up letting a handsome smile cover his features

"Anashay, how are you?" I sat in my chair across from him

"Just fine Max, thank you. But last week was unacceptable. You know that." I said, watching him carefully
"I assume you're in a better mood this time around?"

"Seeing you always puts me in a better mood, Anashay" I just nodded clicking my pen

"Max how would you describe your relationship with your parents?" I got straight to the point, feeling utterly creeped out by the way he was looking at me

"My mother, she is obsessed with me. Always watching me, never giving me any space. And she has to be the most dramatic woman I have ever met, everytime I do anything she acts as though the world will end" he spoke evenly rolling his eyes for emphasis

"And your father?" The smile was wiped from his face, and his expression fell blank. I twirled my pinky ring around my finger with my thumb and watched him, he was breathing heavily

"Max" I repeated making him look up at me, an insane look in his eyes
"I asked you..about your father. Can you answer me please?" I asked gently. A smile crept onto his face and he leaned toward me resting his elbows on his legs

"Enough about me, Anashay. You don't need to know any of it sweetheart." He licked his lips letting his eyes run over my body. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, I recovered leaning forward to meet his stare with a hard expression

"I asked you about your father. So you need to answer me, Max. Unlike everyone else you can't play games with me" I stared at him waiting for him to respond. My stomach turned at the sinister smile he was giving me

"Cant I?" He asked tilting his head, when I didn't respond he continued

"I believe you can relate to this one my love, listen closely" He whispered, bringing his hand up to form a gun. My own hand trembled gripping the notebook in my hand

"He shot himself in the head. I found him, dead." I felt as if he just hit me in the chest with a bag of bricks, I managed to keep face still while my heart was beating wildly in my chest. How the hell does he know?

"Max, I know things like that can be traumatic. I believe that-"

"How old were you when it happened, Shay?" He interrupted me griping his knees excitedly, I swallowed the growing lump in my throat
