A month of sneaking around with Zoe
Hanging out when the others parents are gone
Staying up all night on whispering to each other through the phone
Whenever our parents asked we both used Alana as our excuse.
"Evvie whatcha thinking bout"
Zoe said as she snuggled more into my chest.
"Us"
I said as I played with her hair.
"How are we supposed to date if your parents hate me"
I said with a sigh
"They don't hate you per se"
She said
"And if your so worried about it then"
She grabbed my hand and pulled me out to her car"
She was still wearing my hoodie and sweatpants but she didn't seem to mind.
We drove for a while and stopped in front of her house.
She pulled me to the front door which she swung open.
She shouted
"Mom dad I love Evan and I don't care about your opinion or all the dumb shit he did he was trying to protect us and without him our family probably would've been torn"
She said.
I saw a glimpse of Cynthia and Larry's shocked faced before she slammed shut the door.
We were walking down the grass when the door reopened.
"Would you both like to come in"
Cynthia said
I gave Zoe a look and she shrugged.

We sat on the Murphy's couch.
Zoe was basically on top of me without being actually ON TOP of me.
"We approve but we want you to know that what you did was not okay we understand it was because of pressure that we put in you but if we find out you are lying about anything else you will never be able to see Zoe again"
"I totally agree"
I say nervously.
"That's it"
Cynthia says.
Zoe pulls me upstairs to her room and softly closes the door.
She sit on her bed and gestures for me to join her.
I quickly join her and we smile at each other.
She grabs her ukulele and starts playing.
"I don't need you to sell me on reasons to want you"
She says slightly singing.
This is what she said the day we decided to go public

She begins to actually sing and I'm and awe at her voice

I smile at her as she continues her strumming

She said with starry eyes.
"How could I forget"
I said before kissing her light
I'd been in her room many times but it looked different than before.
She had lilac purple walls with a large arched window on her wall.
Her desk was neat with a cup of pens, a folder, a few pieces of makeup, and a picture of her and Connor that I assumed was taken when she was 5 or so.
On the wall hung some pictures
Three of her and Alana
One of Her and Jared
Two of her and Connor
Three of her and a girl name Sabrina Patel
And four of her and me.
"You sill have these"
I said standing up and looking at it
In the first one we were stood in front of a la mode holding hands with our other hands we held our ice cream
The second was her and I on her bed snuggling as we studied
The third is a picture of us before our first date
The fourth is of her on my back and Alana on Jared's back at the first Connor project meeting.
"I couldn't bring myself to throw them away... plus this one is hilarious"
She said pointing to the fourth frame.
I laughed and smiled before pulling her into a short but sweet kiss.
