they don't call paris the city of love for nothing. i thought all the agonizingly beautiful expressions of emotions would leave as valentine's day did, but they didn't. paris is still the same drunk on love place as it has been for the past few months. it makes everything prettier, i think. kind of like you did. you were the rose coloured glasses i used to look through. you were paris. i didn't need the city, i just needed you.

but you needed paris, i think. and i wanted that for you. so we loved the city of love.

maybe that's why we wanted to come here together.
