I walked past Noct who was looking through his old home movies, "what are you doing?" I cocked an eyebrow, "I was looking...for a tape dad sent me...he didn't tell me what was on it...but he said it was important..." Noct told me, as I giggled. It has two months since my best friend and I got an apartment together. He pulled out an old, dusty tape, wiped it off, and cocked his head. "I don't remember this one..." he furrowed his eyebrows, he put it in as I leaned against the back of the couch. " as we started watching it. "Okay...is it...is it on?" Regis' voice asked as the camera was pointed at the ground, then we heard giggling, "yes hun...it's on...see? The red light means it's recording" spoke a woman, "mom..." Noct whispered, "ah! There we go..." the camera soon panned up to reveal a young Noct and me building a snowman together, "Noct! Hey, Noct...what do you wanna do when you're older?" Regis asked as young Noct had a thoughtful look, I saw younger me pick a flower that only bloomed in the winter, "here you go your majesty!" I gave the queen a warming smile, "oh thank you Y/n...and I've asked you to call me Aulea..." she told younger me as I gave a small smile and Noct looked away from the screen for a moment, "A-Au...Lea!" I smiled as she giggled and patted me on the head, "that'll work," she spoke as I turned and grabbed two sticks. I stuck them to the side of the snowman, Noct then put a crown on top of the snowman and then giggled. "It's daddy!" he shouted as Regis' laughter rang out, "so have you decided on what you wanna do when you're older son?" Regis asked Noct again.

"Um...uh..." younger Noct then looked up at me and threw his arms around me, "when I'm older, I wanna marry Y/n!" he shouted as the both of us began to blush, I snorted at the sight of Noct blushing, and he cleared his throat awkwardly. "So...you still wanna-..." I started, "shut up!" he threw a pillow at me as I started laughing. "Aw! The wittle Pwince is embarrassed" I said in a baby voice as he rolled his eyes. "Anyways...dinner is done...we're having...ta-da...cup noodles because I can't cook for the life of me" I told him he chuckled. We spent our dinner watching old home videos, some of them involving Noct talking about how he was going to marry me, and others being cute family vacations. That night I lay in bed unable to sleep, I sighed, got out of bed, and walked into the front room. I looked over at Noct's door "if only you knew..." I whispered to myself, "knew what?" Noct's voice asked as I jumped. I looked over and saw him sitting at the table drinking a cup of coffee. "N-Nothing!" I exclaimed as he snorted, "have a seat...I've been meaning to talk to you" he smiled sweetly at me, I took a seat across from him, and he took a deep breath. "There's no easy way for me to say it...so I'm gonna say it" he started and my brain instantly went to something bad, "watching that old video of us when we were younger got me thinking..." he continued as he looked into my eyes, "I love you Y/n...I always have..." he finished as I blushed, "and when you asked if I still wanted to marry you...I was embarrassed. But I found the video dad sent...it was him telling me to follow my heart, do what makes me happy, and to pursue what I want. When he sent it to me with the note saying that it was important...he also sent me this..." he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box, he placed it at the center of the table, and then opened it.

There sat a beautiful golden ring, rubies surrounded the diamond in the middle. "It was my mother's engagement ring dad gave her..." he explained as I stared at how pretty it was, "can you do me a favor..." he started as I looked back up at him. "Try it on for me..." he then said as I blushed, "just...indulge me if you will" he sounded a bit like Ignis but I didn't say anything, I took the ring out of the box, and put it on. 'It's a perfect fit' I went to take it off but he stopped me, "keep it on...and marry me" he whispered as I blushed, "even if you say no...then keep it on anyway, it looks better on you than in the box" he added as tears filled my eyes, "yes..." I whispered as he gasped and smiled. "Of course I'll marry you!" we both leaned over the table and kissed each other. "I love you Y/n..." he said as we placed our foreheads together, "I love you too..." I giggled.
