The moment when Sarah saw me, it was awkward. None of us say anything until she greets me and walks to her car and drove off. Not even giving me a second to greet her back.
"Miss Arthur, welcome home," Felipe said to me.
"Thank you, Felipe. How are you? How are the others?"
"We all fine miss. Your parents and Miss Sarah's parents are in the backyard. I'm sorry I have not noticed you are coming home today miss"
"Because I didn't tell anyone about this and please don't call me Miss anymore, Felipe. You know my rules and you know I grown up as a boy and now I am a man"
"My apologies, after all these years I still don't get used to it. By the way, where is your luggage miss, I mean Arthur"
"Apologies accepted. And I am staying at the hotel. My chest hurts every time I step into this house. The picture of him still fresh in my mind"
"I know this is not my place to say it, but don't you think it is time to let him go?"
"I think so too, but I don't know. I guess this is what I have to deal until only God knows when"
"We all have something to deal in our life, easy or not"
"Yeah, cannot blame problems to keep coming in our life"
Felipe nodded and lead me to my parents. Right around the corner, I can hear they were arguing about me.
"What should we do about them?" Uncle Damien said
"They have grown up, they can talk and settle down for their own good, Damien," My Dad told him
"When Albert? Did Arthur ever want to come back?" Aunt Nina asked my father
"He will when he is ready. Give him some more time, Damien. You know it is not easy for him to take this whole plate at the same time"
"I am sorry Albert, we all loved that boy but it is been years since he is gone. Sarah has given her an answer twelve years ago. How much longer we have to wait for the marriage? Even Sammy already grants us a grandchild. If Arthur did not want to take part in this engagement, just call it off!"
"I am sure, Arthur has his own reasons for not coming back, Damien. And I am sure they would decide what is the best for them once Arthur is here" Mom tell them
Felipe touch my shoulder, give me one sad smile.
"Do not worry, sir. Everything will be just fine" Felipe pat my back
"I don't know Felipe. I am going back to the hotel. Please tell my parents I come by once my uncle and aunt go home. I am not ready to face them yet"
"Will do, sir. Please be save"
I have heard enough of their conversation. I better walk away. But, a question starts to form in my mind. Make me doubt on my decisions to coming back, Am I ready for this?
