No Pumpkins For Halloween
Warning: Unedited"Happy Halloween, Silver" Natalie whispered leaning over her sister.
The younger girl opened her pale eyes. She groaned and slowly got herself up to a sitting position. She leaned her head agasint the headboard and rubbed her cheeks.
"Already?" She asked.
Natalie nodded and sat down at the edge of her bed. "I've got an idea" She said. "It may sound stupid but I think it'll work"
Silver raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"We're going to Hawkins" Natalie said. "Today"
Silver stared at the brunette. "What? How?"
"We'll drive there and Kali won't even notice that we're gone" Natalie explained. "I need to stop running from my fears and face them, by going to where they started I think I'll be able to finally sleep in peace"
Silver nodded slowly and hopped out of bed. She crossed her arms. "Ok then, we go to Hawkins"Silver changed out of her sleepware into a white dress and slipped on her pink coat. She did her makeup and let her long hair flow down her shoulders. She looked at her watch and could see it was early in the morning and the others would still be asleep. She tied up the laces to her Converses and grabbed her brown satchel and duffel bag. Natalie smiled at her and they walked out of the room. They tiptoed down the stairs and quickly zipped through the main room. The ceiling was high above them and a couple of lights hung low. Natalie opened the door and they slipped into the darkness. A few street lights guided them through the early morning stragglers who glared at them. Silver stared at them with her crystal eyes and they quickly looked away.
The sun began to rise as they made their way through town. The shops began to open and the traffic zoomed through the streets. Natalie stopped next to a nice looking Ford. She pointed to it and Silver shrugged. Natalie rolled her eyes and dropped her bags. Silver waited patiently as Natalie placed her fingers on the car. With a click the whole thing unlocked. Natalie did a happy dance and chucked her bags into the boot along with Silvers stuff. Silver grasped onto her satchel and jumped into the passenger seat. Natalie slid into the driver's seat and started the car with the brush of her finger tips, she always had a knack for machines.
The car roared to life ands they pulled out onto the road. Silver looked back to a very confused man coming to see that his car was gone. Silver smirked and turned back the road. Soon Natalie pulled up at the usual liquor store.
"I'll be back" She said and hopped out of the car.Silver waited for a while and watched the rays on sunlight dance across the pavement. She saw cars drive past, flashes of different colours. Soon a loud siren started blaring from the store and Natalie burst out of it and jumped into the car. She handed Silver bottles of liquor and zoomed off.
"You stole these?" Silver asked turning over the bottles.
There were three in total. Two of them were whiskey and the other was a smaller one filled with vodka.
"Yes" Natalie said not taking her eyes off the road. "How else am I going to pay for it?"• • •
"Let's just go to this stupid party, wear our costumes that we worked on for a stupid amount of time and be stupid teenagers for one night" Steve explained to a disbelieving Nancy. "Can you do that?"
Nancy slowly nodded her head and Steve pulled her into a hug. "It's going to be okay"
The pale girl stepped away and headed out the door. Steve sighed and ran a hand through his hair.Tonight was the Halloween party that Steve was supposed to go too. A part of him wanted to go but a part of him wanted to hide away from everybody. Losing a fight with Jonathan and the arrival of the new boy had taken a toll to his popularity. Now his friends Tommy and Carol had slowly left him, which he didn't really mind. Now Tommy had tagged along to follow the new boy, Billy Hargrove, who looked like he wanted to kill Steve everything he saw him.
"Are you okay?" Nancy asked Steve.
She was standing in the doorway. They were in a small room in the library where they store old text books. Steve snapped out of his daze and nodded his head. He pulled one his signature smiles and followed his girlfriend out of the room. After school Steve would usually do some digging to find something about Silver but this afternoon he didn't really feel like it. He flopped down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. Later he was going to pick up Nancy and drive to the stupid party. He sat up and looked at the photo of Silver that hung on his wall. He missed her small smile that only he could make her do or the way her eyes would light up. He thought back to last year where he had returned to the Byers house to apologise to Jonathan but ended up saving them from some big monster.
Steve walked outside to his car and opened the trunk where the spiked bat lay. He picked it up tenderly and ran his hand over the sharp nails. As soon they three of them had burned the monster Nancy had told him that Silver was back at the school. Steve didn't had have time to be angry at them as he rushed towards the school to find her. That was the night when he realised he loved her. He had kissed her and she said goodbye.
"Happy Halloween, Silver" He said looking at her photo.Hey there peeps! I haven't updated in so long and I want to thank all the readers, voters and commenters. I love you and love your support.
