You had arrived in America a few days before Newt to get a good look at what it's like before you started looking for magical creatures. As Newt got his bag checked you stood on the road and watched at how uncomfortable he was. Once his bag was returned he smiled upon seeing you.
"You looked so uncomfortable. But don't worry about it, we've got the same joined bags so I felt it too."
"Where to first?"
"We gotta go past that group of people standing outside the bank. So don't draw attention to us, they hate the wizarding world."
