CHAPTER SIX - LA VIE EN ROSE

OK SO I REMEMBERED THAT I WAS MAKING A BEN X OC BOOK BUT THERE WAS BARELY ANY BEN X OC AND SO I SHOW YOU A PART OF THEIR LIFE THAT SHOWS THAT I WAS TOO LAZY TO DO A FLASHBACK CHAPTER

as a child, lilith was not strong, in fact she used to cry a lot. crying felt so normal to lilith that whenever she wakes up with puffy eyes nobody seems to notice or care anymore

other than grace of course, she notices everyhing

lilith was in her room crying, surprise suprise, after another training session with father

it was gruesome, once again he had locked her inside a room full of corpses and forced her to control the devil. of course she couldn't do it, she was far too weak and she had just learned how to talk to them

she tried, she really did try to control the devil. but they were just so hungry that day

lilith can't ever look at meat the same way again, leading her to skip most of grace's meals. and lilith hated seeing her mother's sad face as she refuses to eat the food on her plate

she wipes off the blood that was left on her mouth area. but it only causes more staining as she wipes it off, lilith groans and scrubs it roughly, before throwing the tissue away for it to join a pile of other bloody tissues

she hears a knock on the door "hello?" ben calls out and before lilith could tell him to come in he already does

he walks into her room and closes the door behind him "you alright?" he asks, leaning on her door

lilith gives a sad smile and nods her head "i'm fine" she stands up and looks at him "so what are you doing here?"

he gives her a look that she knew was his "i am hurt" look "i can't check in on my rose?" lilith groans as he says that

while klaus at times calls her lily bear, ben called her rose
lilith's middle name being rose, and she really hated it. ben knew that. which is why he calls her that

"can i ask you something?" ben asks, and lilith's smile slowly fades as she recognizes ben's change of tone "yeah...?"

ben fidgets nervously "when the devil...takes over, how does it feel?" he asks, being very careful on his wording as to not hurt her

lilith lets out a shaky sigh, afraid that this would be brought up. she sits on her bed, and looks down on her socks and uniform slightly drenched in blood

"it's painful, it's like something's forcefully turning your skin inside out. i don't really know how to explain, just that it feels so...upside down"

lilith's training consisted of her being in a dark room, she didn't even know what she transformed into, just that she did. and that it hurt

and it hurt a lot

she feels the weight of her bed shift, and ben had seated next to her, he places an arm around her "and when they...eat?"

the dead bodies and corpses the devil had eaten flashed through her mind, and all the organs sprawled on the floor while her screams were silenced and unheard by the devil's insatiable hunger. and the indescribable lust for blood she felt at that moment was just something she couldn't bring up without having a breakdown
