CHAPTER THIRTEEN - DRUNK LITTLE BOY

"this is it. this is five's van" luther points out as he, lilith and diego briskly walk over to the van that was presumably five's

so far luther and diego had gone along "swimmingly" - meaning lilith only had to break up three near fist fights

luther walks up to the van door and attempts to open it, failing miserably in the process, he tries again with the same solution; nothing

"so much for super strong ey?" lilith asks jokingly, an eyebrow raised with a cheeky smile on her face

diego smirks at her question, but luther doesn't take it as well as he had

"go to hell, lilith" he mutters, embarrassed that his huge ego was bruised

"i've been there, you'll love it"

after a few more failed attempts from luther, diego had gotten impatient and decided to take matters into his own hands, he motions for luther to step aside, he pulls a few thingamabobs that lilith doesn't want to question where he got it and just like that it was open

diego shoots luther a cocky look to which luther rolls his eyes

lilith was about to enter when the two boys attempt to go first at the very same time. it was something out of a cartoon, they keep glaring at each other, trying to go in first for whatever competition they had going now

it was until diego sighs and looks over at lilith had she stopped imagining them in tom and jerry "you wanna go in first?"

lilith shakes her head "no no, ladies first"

diego and luther glare at her before they finally settle their differences, with luther going in first because he was "number one"

as the two boys finally enter the van, lilith follows behind "fucking finally" she whispers, entering the van

she leans by the driver's seat, suddenly smelling some strong liquor and she immediately shoots up, trying to find some good drink that five hopefully left or something while her brothers looked for clues

"lilith why won't you help? you asked to come!" luther asks, clearly almost fuming as he searches for clues alongside diego

"i am helping! five hides the best drinks and we're gonna need it soon" she could hear luther groan a little but he doesn't question her

as she continues on her quest to search for hidden liquor, her eyes land on a book. a very familiar book

she picks up the book and gently traces vanya's face on the cover, she smiles a little

when she read the book, she felt differently from her siblings. she felt as if she understood vanya's perspective, she wasn't angry at all with what vanya had written about her because it was all mainly true. she understands why her siblings hated her for that, and she herself has somethings against vanya but she couldn't exactly bring herself to hate her baby sister from acting on impulse out of anger

impulses are tricky, they could either bring you the best things or the worst

she opens the book to see if she could do some rereading, instead she lands on a page with a bunch of equations scribbled on it, overlapping the words on vanya's book
