"It looks exactly like me though..." I argued.
"You aren't going to believe me when I tell you this." She said. "If you looked like any celebrity who do you think you look most like?" she asked.
"Errrr... I don't know. I kind of look like the blond one from that band you like. What are they called again? One Direction?" I asked.
"They were One Direction, but yes. They retired remember?" I nodded. "Matthew, that picture is of Niall Horan when he was your age. It was taken the year I was born, eighteen years ago."
"So what your saying is-" I started.
"Matthew..." She sighed. "Niall Horan is your father."
CHAPTER TWO
MATTHEW'S POV
I couldn't believe this. How could this be? "Kristen.... this is kind of weird." she laughed. I pouted. "Hey, this isn't funny! I'm being serious!" I said.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry." she sighed. "It is kind of strange, I agree. Sometimes I look back at pictures of One Direction when they were my age and I look at how attractive they all were. However, I have known all this time that Niall is your dad, which is kind of weird to think about. So technically... Niall is like my uncle... ish?" she said with a laugh. I still had so many questions.
"Who is my mom?" I asked curiously. I didn't really know many key facts about One Direction like Kristen did. Of course, there was never really a need to until now.
"Niall was dating a girl named Sarah Lee and then they had you. They couldn't keep up with having a child since they were both eighteen at the time so that's when you were adopted into this family. They got married a few years ago. As far as I know, you have two younger sisters." She paused before continuing. "Exciting isn't it?" she asked smiling.
This was all so weird and hard for me to grasp. So whenever there was a throwback weekend on the radio and One Direction came on, girls at my school would talk about how cute they were. And that is.. my dad? No way! Maybe that's why naturally I get more attention from girls than the rest of the boys in my class.
"Does my dad have an accent?" I asked curiously. "What about my mom, Sarah?"
"Yes, Niall has a strong, thick Irish accent. Sarah? She sounds just like you. All American." Kristen smiled.
"So what about this concert then? Is mom going to let me go?"
"Only if you can convince her without it slipping that you know about your biological parents." she said seriously. "I want you to go with me. It's only fair to you that you get to meet your parents at least once when you can remember." she added. Then she pulled her iPhone 9 out and typed something into google. "Look, this is Sarah holding you as an infant. She and Niall had you for about three months before things got behind with Niall's career and Sarah's school." I looked at the picture closely. I'm not exactly an emotional guy, but this really did make me tear up a little.
"I want to meet them." I said looking at Kristen.
"Y-you do?" she asked taken aback.
"Yes. Come on, let's go ask mom." I said standing up and tugging on Kristen's arm.

"Please, please, pleaseeeee mom!" begged Kristen.
"Well I'm not going and dad doesn't want to go and you certainly can't go alone!" said our mom raising her voice.
"I already told you! Matthew said he would go with me! Plus, I'm eighteen anyways! It's no big deal! I'll be going to college soon." Mom took a deep breath and sighed.
"You'll go with her, Matthew?" she asked skeptically. I nodded my head in response. "What makes you want to go with her?" she asked.
"Just trying to help her out. I mean she really wants to go. This is a one in the lifetime chance and plus, their music isn't all that bad." I said hoping she would believe me. My adopted mom usually gave Kristen and I a lot of freedom. I guess I could see why she was a little hesitant in this situation though.
"Fine." she said letting out a deep breath. A wave of relief washed over me as I'm sure it did for Kristen too.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" cried Kristen flinging herself in our mom's arms.
"When's the concert?" my mom asked.
"Next week. I already had good tickets reserved in case you said yes!" squealed Kristen. She added a wink. My mom rolled her eyes.
"And it's where?" she asked.
"Cleveland. Just about an hour away!" answered Kristen. Dang, she must have been doing her research.
"Okay. Where are the seats you have reserved?"
"6th row." She answered happily.
"Okay. Matthew, goodluck." my mom joked. "Dinner is almost ready so go wash your hands and come back."
"Okay!" we answered in unison as we walked away. Once we were out of ear and eye shot, we tured to each other at the same time and highfived.
This was it. I was going to be meeting my real parents.
Author's Note: Sorry for the short, filler chapter! I am so busy now that school has started but I always try to squeeze in a little time to write! Hopefully, you guys agree this is better than no update! Haha! Well tell me what ya think! :)xx
