Chapter 22: Talk

It's night already. I let the girls stay at my mansion to sleep.

It's already 12 AM. Yet I couldn't sleep.

I stood up and left my room. I passed by the living room.

I'm outside of the main building. Heading to my garden.

It was pretty cold. But I can endure it.

I've arrive the garden. I smiled as I saw the satisfyingly-beautiful view. But then I saw a silhoutte of a girl.

I sneaked to see who it was. I was about to surprise the girl up but when I came out to the bush. No one is there.

"Probably my eyes are just making me see things." I mumbled.

"Hey there, Mr. Kang." Someone suddenly spoke up.

Making me jump in shock. Then I faced the direction where that came from.

Our eyes widen when we saw eachother.

"Irene/Seulgi?!" We said in surprise.

"I thought you were Mr. Kang... W-Why are you here?" She asked.

Oh welp. I didn't expect this to be early.

"...I'm searching for Mr. Kang. He said that somebody is searching for me and he wants to help that person. You? Why are you here?" I asked.

"Mr. Lee Soo Man. Sent us here to help him to his project... And apparently, Mr. Kang has a debt of gratitude to me... And he asked me what I want.. And I said that.. I want him to search for you so.. We could talk." She explained.

I nodded, "So... What are we going to talk about?"

"First of all... I'm sorry that I betrayed you 3 years ago.. And... I want to explain everything why I did that." She stared.

I just looked at her, waiting for her to continue.

"Yes, I have plans of revenge when I still know it wasn't you. But then.. When I found out you were the Heiress.. I stopped all of the plans for revenging for my family." She continued.

I looked at her confusedly.

Then why did she still...

"But when Sehun found out that I don't have any plans for it anymore. He injected me something that would make me seek for revenge. I can't control my body at that time. It's like there's a demon possessing my body." She said.

Hearing that, My fist clenched.

Sehun is fucking asshole. He really wants me to get killed for no fucking reason except just because Vampires and Demons are fighting eachother.

"Did he do something to you when you are still in that state?" I asked, with a hint of anger.

"H-He attempted... But I'm glad that I was back to normal at that time and Jiyeon helped me to get away." She said.

"That fucking bastard..." I muttered.

"Why aren't you breaking up with him?" I asked.

"I can't... My family wants me to marry a Prince... It's their dream. I want them to reach it. That's my way of saying thank you for taking care of us.." She replied.

Am I not enough?

I just bitterly smiled and nodded.

"They must be lucky to have you then. And Sehun would be too since he's marrying a person like you." I said.

She looked at me concernedly.

"Welp. Was that all that you want us to talk about? Anyways, Advance congratulations for you two. I heard that you two are marrying next month." I said.
