      I felt something be thrown at me and my body bounced off the bed- "aye man you work at Wendy's?" Xavyer asked looking at my name tag. I groaned peeping the time 6 am. Than rolled over back to my comfortable ass spot in my bed. "You better just tell onyx you slanging drugs - or quit" he added I felt a dent in my bed and moved over a bit more. "Kendrell coming back soon- we ain't together but I feel like I should tell him about me and Jez predicament huh?" I kicked him a bit now not being able to go back to sleep and he smiled "great do a run with me before school" he said seeing I was now getting up. Fuck ass people I swear.

  "School?" I echoed back before going into the bathroom, I went to brush my teeth and use it before taking a quick shower when I got out Xavyer wasn't in my room so I put on a simple track suit and headed towards the living room to see Xavyer on the phone looking pissed.

  "Yeah I'm bout to go to school drell, Ian know I had to tell you I moved out of my moms crib; well I moved out" he grumbled causing a snicker from me. Ah sweet love. After working with Arrius I met a few new people, people who I would never catch myself dead with before are now people I chill with or smoke with sometimes. Most of them are older than me-  maybe onyx age or older but I didn't really mind, older niggas loved me. Not like I would fuck any of them. Last thing you need is a gang banger on your ass.

     The drive to the "trap" that's what Juice calls it was quick- he was Arrius older cousin and he also called me and Xavyer his little brothers- him and Arrius never really got along - he said Arrius always looking for a fight but can't and even more so after he figured out that we were still in highschool and Arrius was trying to teach us the streets like he's something-Y'all need to slang them grades- not this shit get a bullet through ya head. He would tell me every time I stepped in the trap. Like right now I walked in and Juice was sitting on the couch next to his wife smacking his teeth.

   "School after this- you graduating for me too nano" I rolled my eyes at the nickname he said I'm little but he believes I can pop it off- if someone has to see it, so my nickname came from a gun- Beretta Nano. Xavyer was Pablo because well not only was his father well known through these streets and that was his dad's name- they say he's smart; drug smart like Escobar.

"Yeah yeah yeah- get a GED" I joked causing his wife Abby to laugh. I walked in the back to see Arrius and gave him the money as gave me my cut.

"I heard ya mans out" he started his eyes looking a bit - nervous. "Surprised he didn't come for my head" he joked but I could tell he was serious.

"Why so surprised?" I asked putting the money in my pocket and then Xavyers cut in my coat so I would remember which stack was his.

"Because he always coming for my head, now he has a reason" I smacked my lips at the words that game from his mouth and he started laughing "unless- Nah Nah Nah say it ain't true" he laughed a bit more "you ain't tell himmm" he said in a sing song voice,

"Mind yours Arrius" I said zipping my coat back up.

"Trouble soon comes to paradise- this should be hilarious" he said still laughing as I walked through the trap.

"Where ya headed?" Juice asked

"School" I responded before throwing up a peace sign and leaving the small house.

I walked into the now forgien to me building and sighed checking my phone as it got a message

I smacked my lips entering homeroom and everyone was acting like they seen a ghost - a ugly one. I sat down in my seat only to get tapped on moments later.

"I'm surprised you came" Kaizey started I looked at her for a long time before sighing deciding to entertain it.

"And why is that?"

"Why? You barely come- that's cute?"

"I've been busy" she scoffed at my remark

"Yeah you not in college don't let those college boys fool you- you got responsibilities like school still" she said tapping my head with the pencil. "And you need to be dragging Xavyer here as well- especially with him and Jez ya know" I nodded my lips tightening up she was right but I didn't need her to know that.

"Anything else?" I asked and she shrugged before I allowed her to talk I turned around. Yeah that's all hoe.

School was a breeze- maybe not because I had all this work to make up but then again it was because they kept sending me to the library for work. That was until lunch came around and my guidance counselor was talking about me not graduating- only can miss so many days- bla bla bla I stopped listening when he said if I start going from now until the end of the year I should be able to pull through- but imma start going full day tomorrow.

"I just need you to pick me up- not all that extra shit" I argued with onyx.

"You don't ever go to school- stay your ass there" he responded but I could hear he was already in his car.

"This really how you about to do me? Ion got no important classes left" I argued back and I heard nothing for a moment before a car door
Opened and closed than I heard Yonna voice talking. "Matta fac-

"GENACISS where are you?" Yonna yelled excitedly

"Trying to get onyx to pick me up- but I guess you can't ask a nigga for shit"

"Nooo get G, and Xavyer where is he?"

"He need to stay after school get his credits up- the boy need his diploma more than me" I added "anyway imma be outside" I heard onyx try to argue but I hung up before he could and walked out the doors of hell- having a college boyfriend was great. Even though we aren't really dating - labels just mess things up. After a few minutes of sitting outside listening to one of Jez friends talk about how she can't believe she's pregnant onyx pulled up.

"Last time I'm doing this shit this week" he mumbled as I got in the passenger seat I kissed his cheek only to see him fight off a smile.

"We finna go get food with drell- you sure Xavyer ain't wanna come?" He asked I shook my head- Xavyer can't keep no secret and Jez be acting like her clump of cells is hungry already and loves calling his ass.  Let's hope I could look homeboy in his face and not bring it up.

"Yeah G- then we going to ya house to chill because I'm tired of onyx's" Yonna added.

"And because that's were Malia will be due to Onyx forgetting to pick her up from school"

"Chill it was one day" he argued but I side eyes him- he didn't even notice she was at my house and I wasn't there so it was just her and Xavyer being reckless until I came home at 10. But if that was the biggest problem happening right now I'll take it-
