Chapter 5

::::::::::: Harley's POV ::::::::::

Bruce and I got down to GCPD and met with commissioner Gordon.

"Batman, Batwoman.......it's scarecrow.......he escaped Arkham" he said looking disappointed at us

"Where do you think he is now?" Batman asked looking at Gordon

"Down at the run down hospital. We think it's one of his hide outs" Gordon said then went back inside

"Let's get there quickly before he leaves" I said and grab my grappling hook

Batman nodded and we headed down to one of the run down hospitals and he's there but seems like he's making more of his fear gas. I looked at Batman and he looked back at me with a concerned look we both look back at what scarecrow was doing until we heard footsteps we look to our right and see deadshot...

"Well what do we have here. It's the Batman and Batwoman" he said all cocky like and flicked a bullet up in the air and catching it in the same hand

Batman and I stood up and faced deadshot "Floyd stop this. Whatever you and scarecrow are doing. Shut it down" I said as I put my fist up

"No. Gorilla grodd needs it" he said as he grabs his shotgun from his back

Batman and I fight deadshot. Of course deadshot never misses and shoots me in my right shoulder. Batman kicks the gun out of deadshots hands and knocks him out by punching him where his face is. Scarecrow comes out as I'm wrapping my wound up. I stand up and look at scarecrow with a pissed off look as so did Batman.

"Surrender now scarecrow" Batman said

"Oh I would but who would deliver this shipment to gorilla gordd" says scarecrow acting like he was being useless and sprays us with his fear gas. Of course I had that stuff for days back then but Batman didn't and wasn't prepared for he. He's covering his eyes a mumbling things.

I look at scarecrow and glare at him "I had this stuff for days to get over my fear" I said as I prepare to fight him

"Then you'll appreciate my new formula" he said as he grabbed a grenade and threw it at me. It blew up in front of me. I caught and fan the gas away but as I opened my eyes I saw that I wasn't at the abandoned cabin in the swamp. I was at the abandoned carnival, I look down to see I'm not Batwoman but my old Harley Quinn self then I heard it.....that laugh......that maniac laugh.....it was all to familiar....I turn around and see him......joker.....he's laughing and walking towards me slowly.

"Oh Harley...where have you been...we have a job to finish" he said as he's still laughing hysterically

"We....we do?" I said as I want to curl up in a ball and cry

"Yes we do" he turned me around and there sat Batman, tied to a chair all beat up and cut up as well. He was trying to say my name but with how badly he was beaten he couldn't get the words out....I looked at batman with a sad look "finish the job Harley" joker said of course I could hear the smile too

"No....I....I can't" I said stuttering my words

"Oh Harley you were always so worthless" joker said and I could hear a click of a gun. Which he turned the safety off. I turn around and smack the gun right out of his hands

"I'm not worthless. I was stupid to fall for you sweet talk to only be abused and used for your stupid plans. Batman taught me better and gotten me a better life and I'm not having you fuck it all up again" I shouted at him and it felt good to cause I got the weights off of my shoulder.

:::::::::::::::: Batman's POV ::::::::::::

I open my eyes after being sprayed with fear gas and I see that I'm in front of Wayne manor. I look down to see I'm in my suit and I look to see my wedding band. I smile knowing that I'm married to Harley now and go inside but when I do I see suitcases by the door. I look over to the living room and see Harley sitting on the couch with a glass of wine in her hands.

"Harley?" I said still having a confused look on my face

"Your finally home now...how's cats?" She said and took a sip of wine

"Harley she doesn't mean anything at....." I was interrupted by her

"Enough. I saw you naked with her next to the fireplace. She's been there for you all the time but stabs you in the back and you just don't know what's good for you" she yelled

I go over to her and my eyes widen as I see divorce papers on the coffee table. She gets up and puts the wine glass down.

"Sign those papers and were done. Your not allowed to have Lucy around either" she said looking straight into my eyes then leaves and grabs her stuff

"HARLEY!!!" I screamed and try chasing after her. I rub my eyes more and see that it was just the fear making me think that

(No bruce is not cheating it's just the fear gas of him losing her)

"Batwoman" I shouted and ran up to her and see that she snaps out of it

"His new formula is hardcore stuff" she said as she's holding her head. I was about to say something but we hear engines running and we look behind us to see scarecrow driving off on a boat with the gas alone with some of his goons

"Damn it" I mumbled. Batwoman and I see red and blue light reflecting off of the trees and look in front of us to see commissioner Gordon coming out of the car

"I see deadshot" Gordon says as he put his hands in his pockets

"Scarecrow got away with his fear gas to deliver it to gorilla gordd" I said informing Gordon

"We'll have to find out where he went to find gorilla gordd" Gordon said

I look at Batwoman and she leaned on me resting her head on my arm...

"Batwoman?" I say

"Yes Batman?" She said

I got down on my knees as the cops gathered around and pulled out a small box and opened it. Inside was a red pearl with black diamond around it. She covers her mouth and I can see tears escaping her mask.

"Yes of course I'll marry you batman" she said excitedly

I took her left hand and put the ring over her gloved left hand. All of the cops threw their hats in the air and commissioner Gordon clapped his hands as Bullock was putting deadshot in the back of the police car....it was about time I made that move. Now Bruce Wayne has to make that move to Harley as well
