The residents of Polaris were all gathered in the cafeteria, as per Erina's instructions. After school let out for the day, most of the student body had remained on campus to attend Azami Nakiri's special pre-advancement exam review. Erina had something different in mind for her friends, however.

While Erina was busy preparing the materials for her own review, Hisako took the time to explain the format of the exams to everyone.

"Hokkaido, huh?" said Soma.

"A-are the exams going to be anything like the hell camp?" asked Megumi, nervously.

Though she'd grown in leaps and bounds since that fateful event, she was still somewhat traumatized by its grueling nature, specifically her unofficial Shokugeki against the infamous Kojiro Shinomiya.

"There are many similarities, yes. But there are also significant differences. For one, as you pass each assignment, you will move from one location to another," said Hisako. She was the only one still wearing her school uniform; the rest of the crew had already changed into their casual wear.

"The tests begin at the southern tip of Hokkaido. Students advance northward as they pass each assignment," she continued.

"So we get to travel all over Hokkaido? Man, this thing keeps getting bigger and bigger," said Soma. In contrast to Megumi, who grew more intimidated by the minute, Soma was getting pumped.

"There are several branching points along the route. Students can sometimes choose their next destination, but sometimes it's chosen at random. There are a total of six assignments in all. That being said, there is one major difference in this year's exam..." said Hisako, pausing for dramatic effect.

"The entire process is being overseen by the Azami administration's Central!"

Everyone let out a collective gasp (though they already knew this, of course).

"Exactly, and that is why you must all be thoroughly prepared. In order to find and stay on the narrow path to success in these exams, you must remain adaptable at all times!" said Erina, finally stepping into the room.

"Erina-chi! Where did you..." started Yuki, but her jaw-dropped when she noticed what Erina was wearing.

With a white-collared shirt, a Totsuki bow, a smart black skirt, leggings, and six-inch pumps, Erina looked like a teacher. A smoking hot teacher.

"Thus, in the week remaining until our departure...for the betterment of you all, I shall personally conduct the Hokkaido Study Sessions!" said Erina, putting on a pair of glasses to complete her look.

Hokkaido Study Sessions?  thought Soma.

"I intend to be strict with my teaching. No whining will be permitted. Think you can keep up?" said Erina, dead serious as she addressed her class.

"Y-yes miss!" echoed her students, with fear in their eyes.

Since Hokkaido was basically the potato capital of Japan, Erina had them begin by memorizing the fifty different varieties of potatoes grown there. Once she noticed Ikumi Mito and the Aldini brothers lingering outside the doorway, she grabbed them and forced them to join the session. She even managed to coerce Soma into sitting down and listening to her lecture.

After a long period of studying had elapsed, some of the students began to get restless. Ryoko was the first one to speak up, on behalf of her peers.
