Pagbaba ng araw ay agad akong umalis sa hospital, at tulad ng kadalasang nangyayari simula ng makilala ko si Lienzo, his car was parked, just few meters away from my house.

We went inside my house, and I was shocked, as I saw who's been invited to the dinner party. My friends, Angel, Kristine, and their husbands. Not to mention that Aki is with her boyfriend too.

Palitan ng introduction, pagpapa-kilala sa bawat isa. The dinner started, with the table being filled by different tasty food. As we sat on the ten person table, we blessed the food, and started eating. The table was filled by laughter, as we speak,

"So, Lienzo, right? Saan kayo nagka-kilala ng Cayth namin?" Angel, my high school buddy, asked Lienzo, while we're in the middle of eating.

"Uh, sa hospital" tipid na sagot ni Lienzo. Kaming dalawa ni Sofia ay nakaupo sa magkabilang kabisera ng lamesa. Nasa kanang bahagi naman si Lienzo na malapit lang sakin.

"Oh. You're her workmate?" Usisa pa ni Angel. I sighed, when I realized na si Lienzo ang gigisahin nila ngayon.

"Nah. I'm an engineer" pagtatama ni Lienzo, Angel's lips formed 'oh'.

"So, how did you two met?" tanong naman ni Kristine. Mariin akong napa-pikit.

Gosh, bakit ba napaka-tsismosa ng mga kaibigan ko?

"She's my son's doctor" Lienzo answered, natigil ang pag-uusap ng ibang naroon at naituon ang atensyon kay Lienzo.

"Anong sakit ng anak mo?" tanong naman ni Aki.

"Heart Cancer" sabay na sagot namin ni Lienzo, nagka-tinginan kami.

"Sabay sumagot sis, anak din yata ni Cayth" nang-aasar na saad ni Sofia.

Pinandilatan ko sya. Nagtawanan lang sila, pati ang kumakain at tipid sumagot na si Lienzo ay bahagyang natawa. I rolled my eyes at them.

"How old is your son Lienzo? Ikaw ba, ilang taon na?" tanong muli ni Aki.

Uminom ng tubig si Lienzo, pagkuwan ay tumingin kay Aki

"He's nine years old, and I'm thirty one" nakangiting sagot nya, I looked at him.

He doesn't look like, a person, hiding his son, in fact, he's very vocal about Lendri. Then why on those sights, Lendri wasn't mentioned even just his name?

"Cayth, matunaw naman yan" napatingin ako kay Angel na mapanuyang nakatingin pala sakin. Inirapan ko lang sya.

Nagkaroon pa ng kaunting asaran bago nagsi-balik ang atensyon sa pagkain. The dinner went on, and stories were told, mga asaran at kung ano pa.

The guest went home by I think eleven pm? And it was just me, Sofia, Calyx and Lienzo who's left.

"Hey, uhh, my pretty cousin?" tumingin ako kay Sofia na ngayon ay tapos ng magligpit.

"Ano?" I asked, she bit her lip and looked at Calyx then looked back at me.

"Ano kasi uuuh, doon ako kila Calyx matutulog ngayon" napatingin ako kay Calyx na ngayon ay nakikipag-usap kay Lienzo.

"At sinong kasama ko dito?" I asked, she looked at Lienzo.

"What? Why are you looking at him?" I spat, she bit her lip.

"Cayth, couz, mabait naman si Lienzo, I'm sure he'll do good?" I arched my eyebrow at her remark.

"What the hell Sofia? You're actually thinking of letting me alone in this house with Lienzo?" I said, half whispering and half exclaiming.

"Chill. I'll be home, first thing in the morning okay? I love you!" With that, she left the kitchen and went to her boyfriend.

Arg that bitch. Wala sa sarili akong napa-tingin kay Lienzo, sakto naman dahil naka-tingin din sya sakin.

Tinarayan ko sya, at nagpa-tuloy sa pagpu-punas ng lamesa. When done, I went to get water in the fridge. Nang maka-inom ay tumungo na ako sa sala.

"Nasaan na sila?" I asked at Lienzo, who's now drinking beer in, a can.

He looked at me and pointed at the door, tumingin ako roon.

"Umalis na sila?" I asked, he nods. Gosh Sofia, I'm gonna kill you for this. I swear!

Naiinis na umupo ako sa sofa, at kumuha ng beer in can, binuksan ko yun at ininom.

"I didn't know you drink" he said, I just rolled my eyes.

"Hindi mo naman talaga ako kilala, kaya paano malalaman?" I spat, he chuckled and put down the can.

"Nagma-maldita ka na naman Doctora" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Buti buma-balik pa yang eye ball mo noh? Kanina mo pa yan pinapa-ikot ikot e" natatawang saad nya, napa-tingin ako sa kanya. Gago talaga tsk.

"So, doctora, what course did you choose as your pre-med?" He asked, and sipped at his beer.

"BS Pharmacy" I said, he nods

"Why'd you ask?" I asked, as I sip. He just shrugged.

"After your pre-med, nag-direct medical study ka na?" He asked again, tumango lang ako.

"Why did you choose your profession?" He asked, I shrugged.

"I love science, and medicines, please also include the children" I answered, a smile appeared on my lips, as I remember my parents being so proud of me.

Speaking of parents, I need to visit them, soon.

"Ikaw? Why engineering?" I asked, he sipped at his beer.

"I want it. It makes me happy" he said, I looked at him, he's happy, that's important thing.

"You uh, owns two companies?" I asked, he looked at me, lips parted.

"How'd you know?" He asked, I gaped.

In I was ko ang mata ko, at tumungo, I sipped at my beer and bit my lip. Me and my big mouth! Hay naku Cayth.

"Doctora? How did you know?" He asked again, I cleared my throat.

"I, uh, Sofia, told me" I said he chuckled.

"I dont think Sofia,knew about that" he said, i looked at him.

"Uhm,uh, Calyx told her maybe?" I said, tumango-tango sya.

"Whatever, makes you sleep peacefully at night, Doctora" he said. Nangi-ngiting uminom sya sa beer nya.

I cleared my throat, tightened my hold at the can at tinungga ang laman nyon.

My gosh Cayth, pwede bang sa susunod wag kang madaldal. Bwiset yang bibig mo arg.
