"We should keep this quiet, just for a bit." I said as Snape released me.
He raised an eyebrow, "Care to explain?"
"Fudge and Umbridge think they have the upper hand," I replied, taking his arm once again as we walked towards the castle, "I want to be able to throw that at them if something like today happens again."
"Yoo hoo!" Umbridge's girlish voice called out, as if she had been summoned. The woman was like a demon. The pink toad of a professor waddled over to us, waving her hand.
"The Minister has stopped by for a visit." She said, overly sweet, "He wants to speak with you." I glanced at Snape, who just stared ahead. Alright then, just play cold and aloof.
We followed Umbridge to her office, where the Minister was waiting...along with Mr. Malfoy. I bristled and tried to take a step back, but Snape kept me in place. Slowly we entered the office, and I was acutely aware of the door being shut behind us. Carefully, I took the seat I had this morning as Snape moved to stand behind me.
"My dear Miss (Y/N)," The Minister said jovially, "It's good to see you again. I wanted to stop by to see how the hunt was going." He offered me a bawdy wink, as if we were sharing a joke.
Before I could open my mouth, Malfoy interrupted in a dull voice, "The only offer she has received is for my son." His eyes bore into mine, clearly still upset about our last encounter. I smirked at him, but that only seemed to make him fume more.
"And?" Fudge looked back and forth between the two of us, oblivious.
"She turned him down." Malfoy replied, and I rolled my eyes. Fudge did a double take again, confused.
"But why not? Mr. Malfoy's family is one of the most prominent in all of England." The Minister asked.
"Because I refuse to marry a child." I said, crossing my legs and leaning back in my chair, "Besides, I've already accepted a proposal." Umbridge, Fudge, and Malfoy all looked like they were about to choke on their tongues.
"Who?" Fudge looked around at everyone in the room. Clearly, Umbridge had been feeding him reports, and she had missed a huge tidbit of gossip. I took a moment to savor having the upper hand before answering.
"That'll be announced tonight at dinner." I said with a mischievous grin, getting to my feet. I left my shocked audience behind, with Snape following quickly behind.
When we were several corridors away from Umbridge's office, Snape pulled me into a hidden alcove. Wrapping me up in his arms, he kissed me hard. I wound my fingers through his hair, thoroughly enjoying the feel of his touch.
"Snape..." I moaned softly as his lips moved down my neck.
"Call me Severus," He said between kisses, "Though I do like hearing you say my name like that." His lips came back down on mine and his hands slid down my waist until he was able to pick me up and pin me against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist, feeling his hard cock through his pants. Moaning his name again between kisses, I felt dizzy with pleasure.
Slowly, Snape...I mean Severus, lowered me back to the floor. Time had seemed to fly by and now we could hear students moving around towards the great hall.
He gave me one finally kiss before whispering in my ear, "Be brave, my dear." And with that, he was gone. I straighten up and slipped out behind him, trying to buck up the muster to announce to a hall full of people that I was going to marry Severus Snape.
