Ikyrio's pov

~ Flashback ~

I walked down the street hand in hand with my mother. I wore the fancy purple dress my mother had bought me, and my feet were adorned with shiny black dress shoes. The dress had multiple lace designs and the laces of the shoes were tied in delicate bows.

I giggled occasionally as she pulled me along. Her long purple locks blowing in the light breeze, and her laugh filled the air like a chorus of wind chimes.

"Come on Rio, we need to hurry or we'll miss your father's medal ceremony."

This was the day that daddy was being awarded number three hero, and the mayor was giving him a bunch of honorary medals.

We were stopped by the sound of an explosion/ Screaming people flooded the streets and we were surrounded by Chaos on all sides. A deep voice filled the air,

"Malee Satou prepare to meet your end!"

My mother turned to me quickly pointing to the entrance of an alley a few feet away.

"Ikyrio listen to me. I need you to hide in that alley. Can you do that sweetly?"

I nodded meekly, my emotions flooded with confusion and fear.

"Now don't leave until mommy comes and gets you, okay?"

She ushers me towards the dark and cold hiding place before returning to the street. I watched helplessly as a purple portal opened less than five feet from where my mother stood.

Out stepped a tall man wearing a suit. His body was made up of swirling purple fog and his face was nothing but a floating pair of yellow eyes.

"Mrs. Satou how wonderful to finally make your acquaintance, I'm Kurogiri. I regret having to do this but your husband is a hero and well that makes you a wonderful target."

My mother growled and it was the first time I had ever seen her without a smile.

"My husband won't let you get away with this! He will kill you if you hurt me!"

The man laughed grasping my mother with a foggy hand.

"He would have to find me first."

He began dragging her screaming body towards a newly formed portal.

"No! You can't take me!"

The man struggled to keep her in his grip,

"Why did you have to be difficult?"

With a sigh he raised his right arm and it solidified into a point. He then stabbed it through my mother's back, the pointed edge protruding through her stomach.

A strangled gasp escaped her lips as blood splattered the pavement. Her eyes were wide with surprise and a trickle of blood cascaded down the side of her mouth.

I was sobbing hysterically and now I let out a guttural cry,

"Mommy!"
