*Vineet's POV*

After the morning rituals and ceremonies, my mother handed me an envelope. I was surprised. She said that she had booked our tickets to Thailand. I saw a smile on Ruhana’s face. Maybe, she was happy that she will get time to spend with me.

My mother turned to Ruhana..
“Beta tum jaane ki taiyari karo. Yeh Vineet ko toh kaam se fursat nahi. “she said while looking at me.

I smiled sheepishly…

“Maa kaam important hai

“Nahi maa, aapka beta bahut badal gaya hai. “she said placing her chin on my mother's shoulder.

“Aisa nahi hai. “ I spoke softly.

Ruhana eyed him.. “Aisa hi hai Vineet. Varna tum khush hote. “ she said meaningfully.

I sighed. She was right. There was something that was bugging me. What was it? Even I couldn't figure it out. I moved to my room. I sat on the bed lost in my thoughts. A small memory bugged my mind. I closed my eyes. Her face flashed in my eyes.

Her! Not Ruhana though. She was my classmate when I was in college. Her name is Abhilasha. She seemed to be the prettiest girl I had seen in the college.

She joined my class in the second year. As I got to know, she had to change her college as her dad got transferred in that very city. I liked her at the first glance.

She was a fun loving girl. I liked the happy instinct in her. During the second year, we got a chance to know each other when we had a fest in our college.

We ended up being partners in a skit challenge with her enrolled in the dance challenge. She was a friendly person, and I was attracted to her. Those days are still fresh in my mind. But then the last unpleasant meeting with her caused me to be what I am.

My reverie was broken as I felt wetness on my face. Tears trickled down my eyes. Meanwhile, Ruhana entered in the room and looked at me..

“Vineet, everything okay? “ she asked.

“Yeah

“Yeah. “I just nodded my head.

She glanced at me keenly. I knew she demanded answers. Though she gave me time, but I knew that she longed to be with me and close to me. She deserves it as well. But I'm still in thoughts. I placed a soft kiss on her head and left for my office.

*Ruhana’s POV *

I was happy. My parents in law were very loving and caring. After the morning rituals, and breakfast,my mother in law, well, It would be better, if I call her as my own mother. She handed an envelope to Vineet. It contained our flight tickets to Thailand. I was shocked. Even Vineet also seemed shocked.

It seemed that Vineet didn't want to go with me. He glanced questioningly at Naina. She smiled that she had booked tickets for our honeymoon in Thailand.

I was excited. I wanted to know everything that Vineet was hiding in his heart. He is my best friend and I wanted him to be happy. Though we are husband and wife now, but before that we are friends. I was happy that I Will get a chance to talk to him. Maybe, on this trip, I will get my Vineet back.

He nodded his head and went to his room to get ready. I helped Naina winding up the chores. After that I entered in my room as I had to do packing for the trip. I entered in my room and found Vineet sitting on the edge of the bed. He seemed to be teary eyed. I called his name softly. I asked his wellbeing while he said he's fine.

I glanced at him…

“You know you can share anything with me Vineet

“Nothing. Bas kuch yaad aa gaya tha Ruhana. Tum packing karlo. Main office jata hoon. “ he said.

“Okay, take care “I said.

He smiled and kissed on my forehead before leaving. I sat on the bed. I wanted to know what's bothering him, but I didn't know how to ask him. I began packing, maybe this trip would be useful to bring his fear out.
