Past

I saw a group of males bullying Wen Ning . I clench my fist and quickly run over to his side . I got in front of Wen Ning and glare at the males ." G-General (Y/N) ", one of the male stutter in fear ." What are you doing to him ?", I ask angrily . They all back down and the look on their face turn to horror ." If I see you guys hurt Wen Ning again , I'll kill you ", I growl . They flinch and bow . They quickly leave and mutter something . I bend down and grab Wen Ning wrist gently ." T-Thanks General (Y/N) ", Wen Ning bow ." No need to be polite we're friend ", I smile . I take him to the medical room and Wen Qing treated his wound ." I really can't believe you need General (Y/N) to save you again !", Wen Qing shout at her brother ." I-I'm sorry s-sister ", he cried . Qing always shout at Ning and always mean to him . But I know she is just worry about her own brother ." Sorry if A-Ning cause you trouble again ", she apologize ." It's alright ," I assure her .

" W-Why do you save me General (Y/N) ? I don't d-deserve your k-kindness ", he said as he look down ." Because you're my friend ", I replied ." Me and Wen Qing are running away as fast as we could . The soldier that was suppose to protect us are killed or flee away from the battle . But luck isn't at my side . Present

I look at the blue clear sky as I sat on the grass feeling the breeze . All the Wen Sect are killed but I'm the only survivor . I live in the deepest part of the forest , hiding myself from the world . I would get killed if the other Sect saw me . I stand up and was about to walk back to my cottage . I stop when I heard someone played their flute . It sound horrible . Something move in the bush and I got into my defense form ." Who is it ? Come out !", I yell . A dark figure slowly come out from the bush . The hair is covering his face , his clothes is torn and the skin is grey color ." A walking corpse !", I thought . I gulp and take a few step back ." G-general (Y-Y/N) ", it speak ." How did he know my name ?", I thought ." Who are you ?", I ask . He finally look up at me and walk over to me . Every step he take , the chain sound could be heard . I didn't move , I plan to hit him when he is near me . As his tall figure cover the sunlight , I could see his left eye color is green ." G-General (Y/N) ", he said in a softer tone ." His sound feel familiar ", I thought . I slowly lift up his hair to see his appearance . Tears forming in my eyes as I look at his face ." Don't cry ", his cold palm wipe my face ." Wen Ning !", I cried and wrap my arms around his neck . He wrap his arms around my waist as I cried on his chest and he comforted me .

" I love you General (Y/N) ", Wen Ning confess . I sniff and rubbed my eyes . I look at his green orbs and smile ," I love you too Wen Ning ". Wen Ning smile and move his face closer to mine . Our lips touched and I close my eyes ." Wen Ning finally got himself a girlfriend . I hope Lan Zhan will be romantic as Wen Ning ", Wei Wuxian said behind the tree .
