"Fuck." Socket says as he sits at the bar and rests his head on the counter top

"What's up?" I ask as I sip my beer

"I brought my sister home and she's worse than I thought." He says as he sits up.

"Is she alright?" I question

"No, but I've gotta get on the tow truck we're already behind." He says as he pulls out his keys and heads outside.

I sit alone in the bar as everyone is out working, but I enjoy a little quiet time after hitting the club every night since I got here a week ago. The phone behind the bar rings and I guess there's only me to answer

"Broken Demons." I say as I answer the phone

"Socket?" A quiet female voice gasps, it almost sounds like she can't breathe

"Sockets working, can I help?" I reply

"Socket.... come... back." She definitely can't breathe as she forces those three words out

"Is this Sockets sister? I'll see if I can find him, I'll get you help ok?" I say as I pull out my cellphone and dial Sockets number, it goes to voicemail and I roll my eyes

"Pretty sure your sister just called the clubhouse in a panic, I'm going to your house to check it out, you better get there when you get this." I leave a message before jumping on my motorcycle and heading to Sockets house. I pull up on the driveway and run across the lawn to the door. I knock a few times but there's no answer. I walk around to his sisters bedroom and look in the window, I can't see anyone so I knock on the window

"Hello? I'm Sockets friend, I answered the clubhouse phone, are you alright in there?" I shout through the glass as I continue to knock.

"Go away." I hear the small voice shout and I look around the room but I still can't see her. I look behind me and see Socket pulling up in the tow truck with a car loaded on the back

"How bad is she?" He says as he runs across the lawn pulling out his keys

"I can't see her but she sounded bad on the phone." I say as he unlocks the door

"Evie it's me, open up." He shouts as he runs to her bedroom door. I hear the bolts slide and then the door opens as smoke escapes the room

"What the hells going on?" He says as he walks into the room

"You left me here alone. Anything could happen. You need to take me back." I hear the soft voice ramble, her breathing still rapid

"I haven't even been gone an hour and you've smoked 20 cigarettes and had a panic attack. You're safe here, how many times do I have to tell you?" Socket says as I walk up to the bedroom doorway

"Who is that?" The little voice says as I see black hair duck down to the floor

"I'm Reaper, I answered the phone when you called the clubhouse." I say as I walk into the room

"Never met anyone who smokes more than me." I laugh as I see the ash all over the wood floor

"Get him out." She whispers as she curls up into a ball on the floor

"Hey you can trust me, I won't hurt you." I say as I sit on her bed opposite her

"I need to get to work Evie." Socket groans as he runs a hand through his hair

"Well take me back and you can go back to work and I'll be safe." She says as she rests her head on her knees

"I can stay. I don't have any work to do, I can play guard dog for a while." I shrug as I light a cigarette and offer one to Evie. She looks up at me through her long black hair as it hangs over her face and I'm immediately hit with her grey eyes, they're beautiful.

"I don't know you." She says before taking the cigarette from me and lighting it

"Well either Reaper stays with you or you're on your own." Socket says and I frown at how unsupportive he's being to his sister

"How about this? I'll sit in the living room, you sit behind these locks I installed and just shout me if you need help." I say as I point to her bedroom door

"You put the locks there?" She asks and I nod

"Did the windows too." I add

"Thank you." She replies

"Ok, stay here with Reaper." Socket says as he walks off and I watch out the window as he gets in the tow truck and drives off.

"He's being an asshole huh?" I smirk as she puts her cigarette out on the floor

"Always has been." She replies as she pulls an iPod out of her jeans pocket and turns the music coming from her headphones up. I take that as my cue to leave and close her door behind me. I listen as the bolts slide closed and head to the living room to sit on the couch.

I spend the rest of the day on the couch watching Netflix until Socket comes home

"Thanks man I owe you, hows she been?" He asks as he pulls two beers from the fridge and hands one to me

"She hasn't come out of her room." I shrug

"I'm gonna have to get a babysitter or something." He groans as he knocks back his beer

"Well I got nothing else going on right now so I can help out until you find something more permanent." I reply as he walks over to her door

"If you want feeding you better come out." He shouts as he bangs on the door. A few minutes later I hear the bolts slide and she emerges from her room. Standing up I can see her a lot better and she's breathtaking. She's tall, with long black hair down to her waist, her pale skin and then her grey eyes and full lips.

"I need more cigarettes." She says as she sits at the counter and opens the bag of fast food in front of her

"You're going shopping with Cordelia tomorrow so get some then." He says as he puts an open pack in front of her

"I'm not going out there again." She says as she unwraps a burger

"Well you've got no clothes and you need stuff for your room so you're going." He replies

"Have you heard of online shopping?" She asks

"Well buy a computer tomorrow and you can online shop after then." He replies.

"I guess you won't be joining me at the club tonight?" I ask Socket

"Nah, have fun." He smirks and I nod

"See you round Evie." I smile before walking out to my bike and heading to Scars, thankfully my punishment is over and I can fuck one of the girls.
