We all dream of Evergreen
Summer sent where it never leaves
Where colors blend but never bleed
And lovers tend to each others needs
But seasons change and lovers go
We freeze in pain like mud in snow
Relieved for rain until puddles grow
We reap the grain with strain that shows
Then repeat the game of troubled woes
So Petals bloom to wilt away
The dance with death that never sways
The sun will kiss then burn with age
The wind a wish that never fades
A cool touch of bliss before the blizzards rage
The light we miss soon dismissed for shade
This life of thorns is a bed of graves
We all dream of Evergreen
Summer sent where it never leaves
Where colors blend but never bleed
And lovers tend to each others needs
But in the end we're dead it seems
