2 | PROLOGUEShe was his home. A person Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna could run to when he had no where else to go. His mother was a wretched old hag and Nicole was the only person in the world that knew it. She also seemed to be the only person in the world that seemed to care. Though not lovers, the two were the best of friends. Nicole's parents were kind and permissive enough to allow Nicole and Frank to jam out every night in the basement on their bass guitars. Those nights were always fun and carefree. Nevertheless, like all good things, it eventually had to come to an end.
When Frank finally had enough of his mother, he called the police on her and got her locked away, for good. He was sent to a foster home, but, would always run away- especially during his teenage years- to go see Nicole again. They hung out only a few times after he had moved to foster care, but then Nicole moved. She had given Frank no notice of where she was leaving to, but she knew, someday, they'd find each other again.
Little did she know, when they were to reconnect, they'd be entirely different people.
