Try Again (Riverdale story)- finished-

Part 44

I sat in the grassy field. I looked at my phone and saw it was 5.
I then fell down a internet rabbit hole of pretty prom dresses that were cheap..
I may or may not have bought one..
I looked at shoes too..
And yes I did buy prom dress. And I was going to get it fitted tomorrow.
I then saw a text pop up.
It was Jughead "Meet me at the Pops I'm sorry baby girl but I'll explain what happened"-J
I sighed in relief and went to Pops.
I opened the door to instantly see Jughead sitting his back to me and him playing with his hair.
I couldn't help but giggle at him.
I then sneaked up behind him then tapped him on the shoulder. He looked at me and a smile formed on his face.
He stood up and hugged me tight "I'm so sorry.. I- I had to do some serpent business.. and my mom and dad had to help me- and it's just a whole mess"-J "I'm glad your here and not dead.."-B he chuckled at my half joke.
We sat across from each other and he explained to me everything.
By the time he was done I had about 3 milkshakes and it was 8
We went back home and I was greeted by Gladys and FP.
I went upstairs and sat on my bed. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
I laid back on my bed and opened my eyes..
My life is a mess
I'm a mess..
Am I still the "perfect girl"
I definitely don't have a perfect life, family, or student..
Jughead is more of the perfect guy now..
He has a perfect family that's for sure.

My thoughts just kept on going. My thoughts were-
I dont even know what!
Only 2 more days of school Betty. Then it's the damn weekend.
You'll be ok..
I kept telling myself
But will I?

I looked at the door as it opened slowly
"You ok?"-J I nodded at him and sat up "Yeah just talking to myself.. I guess"-B he smiled at me and sat me to me as he closed the door.
"Are you sure you're ok.. You just seem, off"-J "Well.. I guess I'm just trying to figure out who I've become"-B "Well that's easy. You're my perfect girlfriend with a little bit of a messed up life"-J I giggled then my smile faded "I hate that word"-B "Which one?"-J said as he put his hand on back.
"Perfect"-B "It's so- so-"-B
Before I could finish he put he moved his hand to my thigh. "Listen"-J "You don't need to be perfect to live. It's not this 'standard' you have to live with. You can be whoever you want. You do whatever you want"-J I nodded at him and sighed.
"I think I just need to get some rest"-B I said standing up and getting my pajamas.
I changed quickly and went into bed. Jug followed and I didn't fall asleep too easily.
I just couldn't help but think of everything that's happened.
I noticed jug fell asleep so I went out of bed since I wouldn't be sleeping anytime soon.
I went downstairs to the dark rooms and went over to my backpack.
I pulled out the envelope I had forgotten about and opened it.
Inside it had 200 dollars (two 100 dollar bills)
Really Bee (Bee is what they called Weatherbee in the comics so I'm going to start using that in my story)
200 dollars.. for an investigation that wasn't even that hard.
I put it back into my backpack and went over to the kitchen. I stopped at a calendar they had.
" October 2nd- Jughead's birthday"
His birthday is this weekend?!
He didn't tell me!
I went back upstairs and tried to fall asleep which was successful this time.

So
I know this was a really short chapter.
And I know prom is usually in June or whatever but I mixed up my timeline in my story
And I'll be doing Jughead's birthday next chapter
And prom on the 50th chapter (Maybe, maybe not. Probs just going to end it very soon)
And I think I'm going to finish this book soon
Cause I only do one book at a time
And I want to do a different fanfic (not for riverdale)
Soo yeah
Also I'm running out of ideas
