Out stepped Robin Hood with Belle in front of him with a knife held to her throat.Gaston's eyes widened in fear. Anger and resentment for Robin kicked in, and he started running towards Robin.
"Uh-Uh-Uh. One more step and her throat will be slit," Robin waved his finger at Gaston.
Gaston stopped straight in his tracks. "Why are you doing this," Gaston asked in fear.
Belle stared at Gaston, fear engulfing her eyes, engraving an emotion Gaston would never wish in her. She struggled against Robin's right grasp, afraid to move even a mere centimeter in case Robin would slit her throat.
"What do I want?" Robin chuckled. He took the knife away from Belle and waved it around, making hand gestures as he talked. "I mean... I want a mansion, riches, a beautiful woman, but," Robin paused mid-sentence to look at Gaston. "I wanted a partner."
"A partner?" Gaston asked.
Robin held the blade back to Belle's throat. "Yes. Someone I could go on adventures with. Steal with. Murder with. And especially, kill The Beast with. That was supposed to be you,"
"About that, Robin, I changed my mind," Gaston almost whispered, trying not to tick off Robin any further.
Belle eyed Gaston. What?
Gaston put his hands in front of him in a protective stance as he said, "Robin, I realized, why the bloody hell does it matter if the Beast lives or dies?"
Robin narrowed his eyes.
"I mean, I don't like Adam. Hell, I despise him," Gaston continued, watching Robin's motor movements and Belle carefully.
Belle angrily eyed Gaston when he said he hated The Beast. How could you hate someone so perfect?
Gaston cleated his throat and then continued. "But just because I hate Adam doesn't mean I have to kill him," Gaston said, trying to reason with Robin. "I mean, I could live without The Beast's head decorated on my wall, I mean, am I right?" Gaston chuckled, trying to bring humour into the situation.
"What happened to the old Gaston? The one that, when we were younger in our early teens, vandalized and stole and did petty little crimes just for the bloody fun of it?" Robin said, sneering his yellow teeth at Gaston.
"That Gaston is gone," Gaston said quietly. "I don't know when he left, but I know he's not coming back."
"So you're really not going to aid me in my quest to hunt and kill the Beast, are you?" Robin tilted his head slightly as he interrogated him.
Gaston shook his head. "I'm sorry, Robin. No, I'm going to help Belle find the Beast, er, Adam, and I'm going to let them live out their fantasy life together."
Belle's eyes widened in pure shock at this. Gaston was not going to kill Adam? He was going to help her find him?
Robin shook his head disappointedly at Gaston. "You're going to let a bloody animal and a beautiful lass together in their fantasy? That's just pure wrong. You know they don't belong together. You know it."
Gaston agreed so much with Robin. He 100% agreed with how idiotic Belle and the Beast's relationship was. The Beast literally treated her like shit for the first few months! He yelled and screamed at Belle all the time. What if, when Belle and The Beast got back together, his temper came back? What if he hit Belle?
Gaston sighed, pushing away his deep thoughts. "It doesn't matter. If they truly love eachother , who are we to get in the way of that."
