[Donghyuck POV]

"Oh, that's the two guys they made us watch," Minho casually pointed to them.

"W-Who are they...?" Donghyuck had go figure out who these people were.

"They're---"

"Seungmin, shut it!" Changbin snapped.

"Let him speak," Chan countered. "It's okay. It's Jeonginnie's friend."

Jeongin looked to Donghyuck. For a split second, it looked like he was calculating something. However, that was quickly washed away by his smile, braces exposed.

"I'll tell him, daddy," Jeongin looked to Chan for approval.

Everyone else gagged as Chan nodded like it was typical. Donghyuck figured there must be something going on.

"Those are the two guys who were creeping around!" Jeongin explains. "They spied on us so the other gang caught them! They told us they were from a different gang so we were told to watch them as they figure out which one."

"Ah..." Donghyuck said.

"You weren't there to see though..?" Jeongin questioned.

"A-ah.." Jeongin elbowed him for a quicker response. "I-I was getting lunch!"

The rest of the guys really thought nothing of it. In fact, Jeongin's acting really came through here.

"Scary. No worries, they don't make you get lunch here. Everyone shares here so you don't have to run around getting different things for scary men," Jeongin pulled him in for a hug.

"Could you be better at this?" Jeongin whispered, sarcasm in his voice.

"S-Sorry..." Donghyuck whispered back.

"Say, what were you doing all alone?" Woojin asked, offering him more chicken.

"I-I got lost..." Donghyuck threw in some truth with that one.

"I see. No worries! We'll show you the way around here. It's easier to navigate from here," Felix said.

"How?" Donghyuck asked.

"This," Felix gestured all around the place. "Is our chill place. We come here when we're bored."

"Welcome to the Stray Kids Crib," Chan introduced. "This is actually the inside of an old warehouse. It looks the same from the outside, but the inside is personalized by us!"

"No one's ever used it," Minho sipped loudly on his drink while playing with a gun. "We like it here."

Donghyuck was a bit surprised. For a gang, they seemed like chill guys hanging out in a tree house. Well, minus the fact that everyone had a gun and Jeongin always had a knife to his back.

The sound of a phone vibrating broke the loosening chatter. Everyone turned to look at Changbin, who answered the phone.

"They're still tied up. Nah... have I seen another twerp..?" Changbin turned to look at Donghyuck, phone in hand.

The said boy apprehensively fiddled with the woven blanket, not wanting to find out what would happen to him. He could almost feel Changbin's dark stare on him. There was a concentrated aura of doubt, hate, and a bit of murderous intent aimed directly at him. It seems Donghyuck wasn't the only one who noticed it. Felix looked like he wasn't sure what go say but wanted to speak. Minho stopped playing with his gun and set it down. Jisung nibbled on some chicken while Woojin worriedly looked at Donghyuck. Chan raised a brow at Changbin while Jeongin put on an innocent act, except for the nervous gulp that was barely there.
