"You realize we need to tell Taeyong about this, right?"
"I'm aware, yes," Winwin exhales shakily, "But I can't. I don't want to lose you—"
When [Y/n] opened the door to the backseat of the familiar black van, Yuta and Winwin quickly went silent. [Y/n] squints her eyes at them, "What were you guys talking about?"
Yuta looks toward Winwin, knowing it wasn't his problem to tell. Winwin quickly decided it was best for [Y/n] to know since she was directly involved; he preferred [Y/n] know than their leader. Once [Y/n] is inside and has shut the door behind herself, Winwin goes through everything he had just told Yuta. To their surprise, [Y/n] is understanding and even comes up with something that vaguely seems like the solution to their predicament.
"We can't let you do that, it's too dangerous."
"I'm not changing my mind," [Y/n] says firmly. "We'll be keeping this between us."
She didn't want to hide anything from Taeyong but she thought it was for his own good. The guards reluctantly agree, hoping things will turn out well.
After their discussion is over, [Y/n] asks, "You guys could've told me this on the way home. Why are we still here?"
Just as she's about to get an answer, the door slides open again.
He was right there yet [Y/n] almost couldn't believe it: the clean cut black suit wearing and bright red haired Taeyong was standing right there in front of her.
"Sorry I took so long," Taeyong looks down at the diamond pendant [Y/n] was wearing and smiles. "Do you like it?" He asks, making her come out of her thoughts. [Y/n] nods in response.
When she went back into his office as Johnny had instructed, she found it empty. A small pink box was sitting on the desk and [Y/n] found it odd that it was the only thing there; the papers usually lying around were cleaned up. As she got closer, she saw the box had her name on it in small cursive writing.
Not only did she receive a present, but Taeyong was now here, about to go home with her.
During the entire ride, silence reigned over them while [Y/n] tried to maintain a fair amount of distance between her and her boyfriend. Taeyong kept stealing glances at [Y/n], biting his lip and hoping they would quickly get to their apartment.
Although it was dark and quiet inside the car, the heavy atmosphere could still be felt. A long hour later, they finally arrived in front of [Y/n] and Taeyong's shared apartment.
"Bring my things up," Taeyong spoke to the two guards who only nodded in response before heading to the back of the van.
After climbing out, Taeyong jogged to the other side to open [Y/n]'s door. [Y/n] gave him a shy smile before taking his offered hand and getting out of the van. The door closes and they just stand there, breathing in the fresh evening air for a quick moment, enjoying the cool breeze.
Taeyong pulls [Y/n] along and into the building. Once they make it to their apartment, Taeyong pushes her against the wall next to the door and claims her lips. [Y/n]'s hands grip his vest, pulling him as close as possible, pressing their bodies together as she moves her lips against his.
Taeyong is the one who puts an end to their kiss to whisper in her ear, "Do you know how hard it is to stay away from you, darling?" He says, referring to their prolonged eye-contact during the entire ride.
[Y/n]'s breath hitches. "Tae..." She whimpers, tilting her head back. He dives into her neck, leaving wet kisses from behind her ear and making his way down while his hands keep Y/n pinned to the wall.
They're suddenly interrupted by the sound of the elevator doors opening. [Y/n] frantically pushes Taeyong away from her and straightens her clothes out.
Taeyong looks at the door to see Yuta and Winwin holding boxes, both of them awkwardly avoiding his gaze.
[Y/n] practically holds her breath as she passes behind Taeyong to enter her room, leaning her back against the door after closing it. She felt shy and embarrassed that those two had to walk in on them getting physical with each other so openly.
Yuta clears his throat, "Where do we put these?"
The guards walked in the direction Taeyong pointed them in to put down the few boxes he had asked them to bring up. He follows behind them and into the study on the right at the very end of the hall. The four boxes are put down next to the desk and the guards bow at their leader before going to stand outside the apartment door.
Taeyong rummages through the various papers in the boxes for a gun in which he inserts bullets before locking the safety and taking the gun along, closing the study door behind him. He walks back to the room he shared with [Y/n], slowly opening the door. He peeks inside to find her passed out on the bed, letting out light snores in her sleep.
Taeyong lets himself in quietly. He stops right next to the bed to observe his sleeping girlfriend, looking almost angelic due to the slight glow projected on her face by the lamp on the bedside table.
After a few moments of admiration, he picks up his towel and heads inside the attached bathroom. He takes a long warm shower, scrubbing himself clean of all the dirt and sweat that had collected onto his body throughout the day. Steam follows him out the bathroom as he walks out with the towel wrapped around his waist, using another one to dry his hair. He walks to his side of the bed and slips the weapon he brought underneath his pillow; it was better to be safe than sorry. Taeyong freezes when [Y/n] stirs in her sleep and grabs his arm.
"What took you so long?" She questions, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
Taeyong smiles and leans down to place a feather light kiss on her forehead, "I just had some papers to look over. Don't worry about it, darling."
[Y/n] presses her lips against her lover's before he pulls away completely, catching him a little off guard. She sits up, pushing the covers down, revealing the red lace lingerie set she was wearing. Taeyong's eyes widened in surprise, scanning his girlfriend up and down.
"Well, that's an... unexpected surprise," he mutters, unable to tear his eyes away.
"I sort of bought this the other day thinking you might like something like this," [Y/n] explains, slightly embarrassed.
Taeyong eagerly pulls the covers to see the rest of it, "Same present, different ,wrapping paper but it's just as exciting as unwrapping it the first time."
[Y/n] giggles at his choice of words and pulls him on top of her by his arm. She wraps her arms around his neck, sighing in pleasure when Taeyong nips at her sweet spot behind her ear.
"Why don't we finish what we started earlier?"
