Well, In Friendship is Magic part 2, everypony noticed that I had light blue short hair and a purple coat. And then later on in Luna Eclipsed, I had a long flowing mane and a dark blue coat.
Now, when I had returned from my banishment to the moon, I was weak from my time as Nightmare Moon and couldn't possibly have the power to power my mane in making it do the floaty thing.
So, I disappeared for the rest of Season One to get my strength up and made my first Royal Appearance in Luna Eclipsed, which was taken place on Nightmare Night.
Or, Nightmare Moon night festival.
