Their bond was pledged in secrecy
One with a fearless heart,
Another was a trickster who played his charm

Falling for the mistake
He got played himself
By the untethered desires
And lust for hearts

To mend what was broken
He went in the dark
Into an abyss too far
Far away from her

But she was a believer
So she believed in the lies too
Holding on to the broken promises
To save the traitor heart

She followed him
Into the alleys where
The only light was the moon
Who was too hiding
Behind the blanket
Of the dark clouds
