MIKE POV

I got out the car after Wyatt"thanks for dropping AJ off Cee I smiled "y'all cool to chill and smoke with or whatever" I said scratching the back of my head and leaning on the car

"Uhm so Don what you doing tomorrow around maybe around six or seven?" I asked nervously

"Tomorrow is Sunday...what you think im doing? Not a damn thing" he said rolling his eyes

"Uhm well wassup you wanna chill or something? Get something to eat or-.." I said stuttering and he started laughing

"Boy are you asking me on a date?" He said snickering

At this point im feeling a little embarrassed like he really is laughing in my face..

He must've read my facial expression and his laughing drowned out "Yes we can chill or go out whatever you asking sure make sure you come get me at like six and I'll be dressed by then okay?"

I just nodded and smiled and he smiled and rolled his eyes before waving me off before Cee pulled off scoffing

I turned around and went In the house to see my older brother Kenny sitting down on the couch with his feet kicks up smoking a blunt I feel like if I'm building up courage to go out on dates with someone I've had a crush on for years might as well build up some more "Ken...uhm i need to talk to you about something"

He looked up at me and held the blunt out I took a hit breathe out to relax before I had to do what I was about to do

"Wassup young bull talk to me" he said smiling

"So...you know that person I always was talking about I always had a crush on them but I never thought I would have a chance with them?"

"Yea talked about them damn near everyday wassup with her tho? I don't care to remember the name..so" he said looking at me

"I don't know how you gone take it...but it's not a girl... its a guy and it's Wyatt bestfriend the one I flipped the desk on blacked his eye stole his stuff outta his bag all them years ago.. it's him.."

He just glared at me he went to start talking but then took another hit of his blunt

"And I know what you might say you don't want that for me but I really liked him for a long time but Wyatts gay and he's alright right?..."

"I don't know maybe it's a phase or maybe its just him but I really like him i don't think I'm gay because I still fuck on females but I like him like I don't even look at dudes but I like-"

"Nigga...it's okay." He said chuckling

"Huh?" I said stopping my rambling on

"Nigga I said it's alright you are my little brother family Is all we got we lost our parents we barely have anybody you think I'd ruin what we got all because you wanna experiment with a nigga? Im hurt you know me better than that we good nigga like I told you and Wyatt do what makes you happy just make sure you graduate high school and be somebody."

"Of course if you gone be eating ass...you can't hit my blunt no more I don't fuck with that shit...but other than that we good but wassup with little nigga what you wanted to talk about?"

"I got a date with him tomorrow and I wanna look good because I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere with him and I want my first you know good impression to be good"

"Damn y'all niggas fight like a married couple you came home with a ripped shirt or bruised up because y'all got into it every other day at school thought y'all was already together shit...but hmmm hold on hold this don't put yo ass lips on it tho" he said handing me his blunt

He shot upstairs I heard stuff move in his room as he came back down stairs and handed me a small case and a handful of cash

"Open that up it was for after graduation....but you deserve it nigga plus I got another surprise for you after graduation so here"

I cracked open the case to see a whole blinding set of grills shining in the light

"Whooaaaa" I said in awe and shocked he said laughing taking his blunt back and put it in his mouth sitting down

My older brother has been a solid rock in my life for a long ass time sometimes I wonder what keeps him so giving and happy to people even people he who ain't family sometime I wonder who gone make him happy or making others happy makes him happy

"Damn...thanks man I said but can I borrow the car too?"

"Of course nigga but if it don't come back in one piece or you wont need those grills because imma knock all yo teeth out on god"

"Yea aight nigga" I said going upstairs

After getting ready for bed I turn on Netflix and change it to that "On my block" show everyone been talking about till I get tired i turn the lights off and just smile thinking about my date with Don tomorrow I really hope I don't ruin this man it's something I wanted for a long time
