well,

april heat ate me alive

since I've stopped needing sleep

the ideas of leaving is distant,

vividly in my mind;

with sunken eyes i hardly see

that slowly blushing sky

bold straying pilot bruised the sun,

the afternoon eclipse

all these tears

and dreams of the winter,

drinks we offered

and heartbreaking fevers

and after we've outgrown a lovers,

will you think afterglow lasts forever?

i remember your hands on my shoulders,

and the visions of leaving that wrapped us

got you thinking your heart may be my home;

the truth is I'll leave you alone
