"Alec, we have to get ready!", Magnus said. "What?", Alec asked as he opened his eyes. He really managed to fall asleep. "The party? It's in one hour. Alec rolled his eyes:" I don't need that much time; I don't even have to shower." "Alec, you have to dress up." Alec chuckled:" Let me present you my outfit: Black sweatpants, white shirt. That's it." Magnus sighed and sat down onto Alec's bed:" You can't wear sweatpants to a party. You wear them every day." "Apparently sweatpants are the only thing I can wear my bandage underneath so I don't really have a choice." Magnus grinned:" What about wearing the bandage on top of a tight jeans? Also, Jonathan will see it, without you having to take your pants off which I, by the way, would not really appropriate." Alec grinned:" You got me with the last argument. But besides that, how do you know about Jonathan?" "Alec, almost everyone knows that, I mean how you turned him down was pretty iconic." Alec shrugged and changed the topic:" Anyways, what are you wearing?" Magnus shook his head:" The more important question is what you will wear." "Honestly, I don't feel like standing in front of my closet for hours, desperately trying to find something to wear." Magnus smiled:" May I pick out your outfit?" Alec sat up in bed. "May I see it before you make me put it on?" "Don't you trust me?", Magnus said. "Just kidding. Of course, you can.", he added. Alec got up and styled his hair. Apparently, that was done in less than five minutes. It was Magnus who worked with different gel, glitter and hairspray to make a piece of art out of his hair. When Alec got back, Magnus proudly showed him his outfit- a tight, white jeans and a navy-blue hoodie. Alec frowned. "Where did you find tight white jeans in my closed?" Magnus grinned:" Well, maybe these were mine once." "What do you mean? No offence, but I doubt they'll fit me." Magnus was one and a half head shorter than Alec. "I bought them too big. Try it on." Alec rolled his eyes but as he saw Magnus' gaze, he took his pants off to try on the white ones. Suddenly, Magnus interrupted him:" Show me your knee." Alec did as he was told. Luckily, it wasn't swollen anymore- the cold packs did their job. Still, the bruise was huge. "Are you sure you want to go to the party? I mean, that looks, uhm, painful." Alec stroke Magnus' arm:" Hey, it's okay. It doesn't hurt that much. If you won't be pissed that I don't dance everything is fine." That was a lie. His knee did hurt and he was exhausted. In general, he felt like hell. But he didn't want to burden Magnus, so he smiled and pretended to be alright. His reward was a kiss from Magnus. "One more thing- Did you already do your hair?", Magnus asked. Alec grinned:" That- that was offensive. Yes, I did." Magnus tried to suppress his laughter and well, let's say he has to work on that. "May I please make my boyfriend look hot tonight?", he asked. Alec rolled his eyes:" Okay, I'm your mannequin." "Yes!", Magnus shrieked and pulled Alec into the bathroom. There, he covered the mirrors and started doing Alec's hair. Ten minutes later he was done. "Wow. Impressed.", Alec said. He had to admit; Magnus was really good at doing hair. "Okay, and now- move. It's my turn.", Magnus grinned. Alec di as he was told and limped out of the room. He took his pills and put his bandage back on. Half an hour later, Magnus and Alec left the room and got down to the hall. There, the party was just about to begin. "Hello, NYABM!", Heidi greeted from a tower out of beer crates. "Hello!", the crowd screamed back. The whole school was there. Magnus didn't overexaggerate- it seemed to be a really important event. "Good to see everyone is

here. Guys, imagine- half a year is over! Have fun Y'all and celebrate! Wohooo!" Alec grinned. Heidi was really enthusiastic. "Okay, so what will you do now?", Magnus asked. Alec chuckled:" I'll be somewhere near the bar and watch you dance." Magnus smiled and gently kissed Alec. "Enjoy the evening." "I will." Then Magnus disappeared to the dancefloor and Alec got himself a drink. At the bar, he met Maia, Simon and Raphael. "Hey, Alec! Good to see you."- Maia exclaimed and hugged him. "Hey.", Alec replied and hugged the rest of the group as well. "Great you showed up here."; Raphael said. "I wouldn't miss it.", Alec grinned. It turned out to be an awkward conversation so Alec told his friends to dance and leave him alone. When they left, he got himself another drink and braced himself at the bar to watch out for Magnus. After some minutes of searching he saw him dancing with Ragnor and Kaelie. Alec grinned as Magnus looked over to him and waved. He waved back. The time passed by, hour by hour. He talked to friends and watched the others dance. It was already eleven pm and Alec felt exhausted. Also, his knee started to hurt more and more, so he decided to sit down on one of the benches. Some minutes later a blonde, tall guy sat down right next to him. "Hey.", he greeted. Alec whirled around:" Hey." "What do you do here, all alone. I mean its rare to see dancers at a party who don't dance." Alec nodded:" Yeah. Uhm, I don't feel good. What about you?" the guy shook his head:" I hate parties. I don't now why. But it's a shame to miss it." Alec nodded. "What's your name?", he asked. "Alec. Alexander Lightwood, actually. And yours?" "Stephen Underhill but somehow everyone calls me 'Underhill'." The guy seemed to be nice. "Anyways- you said you don't feel good? Should I walk you to your room?", Underhill suggested. Alec shook his head:" No, it's fine, thanks. I'll just sit here a little and I'm sure it'll be better then." Underhill nodded:" Should I get us a drink?" Alec was thirsty but way to lazy to stand up so he said yes. Two minutes later, Underhill came back with two drinks. "Cheers!", he said. "Cheers." The, they just sat there, enjoying their drinks. They talked until Underhill left to the dancefloor. Shorty afterwards, Magnus came to him and kissed Alec:" Hey!" "Hey.", Alec replied, "How is the party?" "It's amazing!", Magnus answered. Alec smiled. At least one of them was happy.
