The first year we went to a band competition, the disaster was on the way up. Everyone decided to roll the windows down in the bus, which normally wouldn't be a bad thing. The problem was that one of the baritone players didn't secure his music down, so it started to fly around the bus, while everyone tried to catch it. Eventually, Mr. L saw what was happening, and he yelled at everyone to close the windows. It was a very panicked, and chaotic minute or so before we shut the windows. Kids in our band still laugh about it today!
The second year we went, the disaster was on the way back. Mr. L was counting people before we left, and realized that we were missing a second trumpet player. We spent 20 minutes looking, and looking for him. My friends and I were all making theories where he wandered off to. Then, Mr. L realized that he had gone home with his parents, and that we had just been wasting time!
