Laura was always quiet and timid. She had every reason to be. She endured more than any one should ever have to as a child and young adult.
But after everything that happens with Jeff and Ares. She was never quite the same. There were some days when she didn't want to be close to anyone... She would separate herself for long periods of time. There were days when she just could not be alone. Although they hurt her, I liked those days. It gave me another reason to be close to her.
I don't think she liked us going on hunts. Her hugs and kisses were longer before we left each time and she was always anxious to see us when we came home.
The Christmas after the whole ordeal... I bought her a puppy, to keep her safe and keep her company. I think that made things better for her. But, she didn't have as many happy dreams and hopes for the future as she used to.
But she was still my little dreamer.
