Broken Brothers

Chapter 10

Shadow had been gone for months and Sonic was in a coma while i tried to find our brother, until i got the call he had woken up, i had rushed to the hospital at the news

worried about the condition of my brother, as i walked in the nurse had already approved me to go in to my brother's room, when i walked in he was awake and sitting up as a doctor checked his wounds, they had scarred over, but some of the bruises were still visible

"does it hurt when i press down here?" the doctor asked as he pressed down on Sonic's right arm

"no" my brother said simply, neither of them had noticed me, so i was quite and watched

 "and how about here?" my brother winced as the doctor pressed down on his left side "are you feeling any other pain besides physical contact?"

"......" My brother didn't say anything

"i can't help you if you don't say anything" The doctor stated

"it's...a little hard to breath still" i barely heard Sonic say, i frowned

"there isn't much we can do, but it's best for you to rest, your brother should be here shortly" The doctor sighed, and Sonic only stayed quiet

"i'm already here" i frowned and they both turned to me, Sonic's ears lowered as he looked away from me, i only sighed and went over to him

"i'll leave you two alone, i'll be back in an hour" the doctor said as he walked away, it was silent for a moment

"why didn't you say anything?" I frowned at him

"i...i didn't think you would care..." Sonic mumbled as he looked away from me, i only frowned at him

"why wouldn't i care?" i looked at him

"you and Shadow always forget about me..." Sonic said as tears started falling

"we could never, i don't know what it would be like if you left...Your my little brother and i want to protect you, sometimes...it's jut hard to remember important things" i sighed 

"i...i thought you and Shadow hated me..." Sonic looked up at me and my frown deeped

"we could never hate you..." i said as i hugged him "if anything happened to you, we wouldn't know what to do any more"

he just had tears in his eyes as he looked at his lap

"i-i'm sorry" he sniffled

"don't be sorry...it wasn't your fault" i smiled softly at him, he just nodded as he hugged back, soon falling asleep leaning against me, i just smiled and stayed by his side until i feel asleep along side him

sorry for the long wait everyone, i've had writers block for awhile and i randomly had this idea so hopefully i can update Apocalypse for all the zombie fans
