Jack faced his dad nervously,trying to compose himself and trying to find the words he wants to say.
He doesn't want this to fail so he better do this correctly.
"Dad, I finally found him." Jack said trying hard to hide his nervousness.
His dad's head shot up from his newspaper,as if he couldn't believe what his son had said.
"That fast?"
"No, actually I already know him, and recently when we were together I just realized,the love of my life has been with me ever since High School." Jack couldn't believe what he just said but it seems like he meant those words but he just shrugged it off.
Maybe he just panicked so his mouth just said what he could think of.
"How come I don't know him?" His dad smirked,and seems like he's really challenging Jack.
"U-um,w-we decided it's best if we just put our relationship privately for the mean time, y-you know to avoid drama and all." Jack uttered out.
Mentally slapping himself for stuttering and being so obvious.
"Well, I want to meet him. Bring him tomorrow evening at Chev's Italian Restaurant. I'll be looking forward to it." His dad said and smiled fakely.
Jack just nodded and walked out of his dad's office and made his way to the coffee shop he and Zach had gone to the night they bumped to each other.
He felt relieved and accomplished when he noticed his father sounding pissed at the mention of Jack finding his partner. Of course he would be pissed he won't have the money he wants.
Jack knows that his dad is only pushing him to marry Mr. Seavey's son for the money, but how come he won't care for his own son? Isn't that what a family supposed to do?
Jack just sighed and grabbed his phone on his back pocket and dialed Zach.
It only rang once when Zach picked it up.
"Hey babe." Jack greeted teasingly.
He can imagine Zach rolling his eyes and he felt himself chuckle at the image in his head.
"Don't call me that." Zach answered back, "What do you want anyways?"
"Well, I want to meet up with you." Jack said.
"Why?"
"I have something important to tell you." Jack informed.
"Is it so important that you can't even just tell me on the phone?"
"Yes! Meet me here at the same coffee shop we go to, hurry!" Jack said.
"Ok! I'm on my way." Zach said and hung up.
Jack made his way inside the cozy coffee shop and sat at the same booth he and Zach had sat the first time they came here and waited for Zach to arrive.
Ten minutes later the bell above the door of the coffee shop dinged signaling someone came inside.
Jack turned his head towards the door and saw Zach.
He saw Zach looking cuddly wearing an oversized hoodie he felt himself get warm inside.
What the heck was that? Jack thought but then like everything else he just shrugged it off.
"Hey." He greeted Zach as he approached at their table.
But what shocked him the most was that Zach kissed his cheek.
He looked up at him wide eyed.
Zach just tilted his head over the paparazzi taking pictures at them.
Oh.
So he just played with it and kissed his Zach's cheek also.
"So what do you want to tell me?" Zach asked as he settled down on his seat.
"Well, my dad wants to meet you." Jack said smiling sweetly so the paps will think they're talking something sweet."He said I should invite you for dinner tomorrow."
"W-what? But Jack I-I don't know how to act around them? What should I do?" Zach panicked.
"Relax babe, just be yourself." Jack smirked.
Zach's panicked face vanished and he rolled his eyes.
"Why are you always like that?" Zach asked.
"Like what?"
"Always so cheeky and all." Zach answered.
"I don't know babe, I'm just being me and you have to deal with it." Jack said,his smirk still evident in his face.
"Ugh, remind me why I agreed to you again?" Zach groaned.
Jack just smirked at him and grabbed his hands and stands up.
"Where are we going?" Zach asked.
"C'mon we have to properly come out in public." Jack said and dragged Zach outside towards his car.
Zach just looked at him confused.
Jack rolled his eyes,"My dad always read on newspapers everyday, I'm sure if we take a stroll at the park right now, he will see us on the headlines tomorrow."
"Oh,okay. I don't even have a choice anyways." Zach said and stepped inside the passenger seat.
Jack just shook his head at Zach and proceeded to the drivers seat.
The car ride towards the park consists of talking and lots of bickering and when I say a lot. I mean a lot.
A few minutes later they arrived at the local park.
Jack sighed.
"Ready?"He asked looking at Zach.
It took Zach a few seconds to respond,he gotta admit he's nervous as heck and so many thoughts are going through his brain.
Is this really worth it?
Is Jack worth it?
What if he fuck this up?
But after all those thoughts,he still nodded.
"Yes." He answered.
The two of them got out of the car and met halfway. The both of them stared at the crowded park.
They can do this.
The both of them breathed heavily and Jack slowly intertwined his hand with Zach.
And Gosh, did he felt a spark.
