•Chapter Eight•

Third Person's POV

Jack and Zach walked in silence as they head back to Jack's car. It's not that the silence was awkward it's just even if the two won't admit it, they're still entranced about what happened earlier.

"Tomorrow comes and goes before you know so I just had to let you know."

As Jack sang the rest of the song,Zach absentmindedly lays his head on Jack's shoulder leaning his body a bit on him, Jack on the other hand lays his head above Zach's head.

If you see them across from you,you can definitely say they really have a thing.

"I just had to let you know, swear to God you're beautiful."

As Jack finished the last lyrics of the song, both of them stared into each others eyes, both of their eyes burned with desire, but Zach being a careful man he is, fought this desire.

He coughed and looked away,"Um I-I think we should go."

Then stood up.

Leaving Jack still frozen trying to recall what just happened.

Zach doesn't want to be stupid, but he can call himself that right now.He's stupid because he almost let Jack kiss him, stupid because it was a bad idea to bring Jack to the park that held a special place in his heart, and most of all stupid because he agreed to Jack's ridiculous proposal and let him be dragged into this mess.

Zach sighed as he waited for Jack to catch up on him being he was the first one to arrive at his car.

As soon as Jack arrived, he unlocked the car doors and Zach immediately got in.

He buckled himseld up and settled into the passenger seat while Jack turned the engine and then began their car ride to Zach's home.

The car ride was a silent one if you ask me,the tension was thick that you can really feel it,causing Zach to have goosebumps on his arms.

Zach rubbed his arms to even out the goosbumps, when Jack suddenly talked.

"Zach, I'm sorry for my dad's attitude earlier,it was really disrespectful."He said looking at me for a second with pity on his eyes then turning his eyes back to the road.

"Um y'know Jack you don't have to be sorry, I-I understand your dad being protective to his son." Zach said hoping to answer his question.

Jack snorted. "Protective? Is that a way to show protectiveness to me when all he care his money and not his son?"

Zach just sat there debating what should he say.

"Y'know we should stop talking about it, it already happened okay?" He said after a few minutes giving him a slight smile.

Jack sighed and just nodded then focused back on his driving.

What feels like forever when only it was just a few minutes,they finally arrived at Zach's house,Jack parked his car on the side and stopped the engine, then silence filled the air.

The two of them sighed and just sat there awkwardly. Zach debated whether or he should invite Jack in or not, he doesn't want to be rude and he wants to show respect because Jack comforted him and brough him home so he made a decision.

"D-do you want to come in?"He asked feeling unsure because he think Jack will say no.

But boy he was wrong.

"Sure."Jack immediately said.

So the two got out of the car and proceeded to walk into Zach's humble abode.

When the two walked inside, Zach made sure Jack was comfortable,he made him seat on his couch and made him a cup of tea.

"Mm, I think you're good at tea making!"Jack moaned as he tastes the tea Zach made him, it was heaven to his taste buds.

Zach chuckled, "Why thank you!"

Jack bowed his head and chuckled at his response.

Silence filled the two once more but not the awkward one, almost may I add but thankfully Zach started to speak up before it become awkward.

"Hey, do you still remember in High School when you printed out a picture of your butt and posted it around the school?" Zach asked,already laughing.

"Oh no!" Jack laughed shaking his head in embarrassment when he remembered his stupid self doing that in High School.

"What? It was hilarious!"Zach said now full on laughing."You were an idiot back then."

"So I'm not an idiot now?"Jack said smirking.

Zach stopped laughing, way to go to ruin the moment he thought.

He rolled his eyes,"Duh you still are but I think I can bare with it now. "

Zach said those words truthfully.

Jack looked into Zach's eyes, turning his body so now they're sitting face to face.

"Are you warming up to me,Herron?"

"Maybe."

Hiyaaaa, so I'm so sorry for the long wait, my family and I got into a vacation, and I just realized that Roadtrips are actually fun!
