Namjoon woke up gradually as the sun began to filter brightly through his curtains. He stretched his long legs out, but was careful to not move around too much, afraid that he would disturb Lucy, who was sleeping in his arms. He kissed her forehead and smiled. A small thrill went through him as he realized he was waking up with the person he loved the most.  He couldn't help but think it something wonderful to be doing. Lucy opened one eye and squinted in the early morning light, not appreciating the bright sunlight shining in her sleepy eyes. Namjoon smiled widely at her and tightened his grip around her waist. Lucy opened both of her eyes and smiled at Namjoon, nestling closer to him.  "Good morning Joonie." Her morning voice was scratchy and quiet, but Namjoon still thought it was beautiful. Hearing it caused his heart to speed up and his smile to widen in fondness.

"Good morning, my love." Namjoon relished the feeling of Lucy in her arms as the two of them lay in his bed. He memorized the softness of the sheets and the intensity of the light filtering through the curtains, but the scent of Lucy's lingering perfume was already imprinted in his memory. He focused on it nonetheless, loving the faint floral scent that mingled with the lavender spray that she scented his sheets with.  The two stayed silent for a few minutes, content to be together. Namjoon wished that he could lay there for forever, but he knew that he needed to get out of bed. He had an obscene amount of meetings that day. "I gotta go and take a shower baby. I'll be back." Namjoon kissed Lucy's forehead again as she pouted at him and nuzzled her nose close to his neck. He felt his breath hitch in response to her actions, and he almost stayed in bed longer, but he knew he would already run the risk of being late because of his prior reluctance to leave the bed. Reluctantly, he pulled away from her. He smiled apologetically as he pulled on a pair of pants left on his floor. "Later," he assured her and then laughed slightly as Lucy huffed in mock frustration, and then he left to take a shower.

Taehyung stood at the kitchen counter pouring a bowl of cereal. He yawned loudly, still tired from the late night he'd spent out with his friend, Yoongi. They'd gone to watch Yoongi's fiancé perform in a piano concert. Jinae had a sweet disposition, and she was a talented pianist. Taehyung had enjoyed the experience, but he was hoping his exam that day wouldn't be affected greatly by the lack of sleep he'd gotten as a result. He smiled nonetheless, the genuine happiness of his older friend as he'd watched his fiancé be encored had been enough to make the night well worth it. He liked seeing people in love and happy. It made him smile.  It brought him joy.

His smile disappeared as a groggy and unkempt Lucy entered the kitchen and was replaced by a passive, empty expression. He finished getting his cereal as the woman reached up into a cabinet for a mug. He noticed that she was wearing Namjoon's shirt and rolled his eyes, it was as if she wanted him to know that she had stayed the night. He couldn't help but feel annoyed. His eyes widened when the shirt lifted up higher with her reaching arms, he realized she wasn't wearing any pants. Taehyung grabbed a spoon and began to make a hasty retreat back to his bedroom.

"No good morning, Taehyung-ah?" He stopped in the doorway and spun around to face Lucy, who had giggled slightly as she spoke to him. He mumbled out a good morning as the young woman smiled innocently at him. He stood shifting his weight back and forth awkwardly as he waited to see if she was going to say anything further.

She didn't, she'd gotten what she wanted.

Taehyung realized that this was the perfect opportunity to confront her, even though all he wanted to do was get away from her.

   He cleared his throat, unsure.

"So, I hear that you and Namjoon are writing a song together?"

"Yes." Lucy took a sip of her coffee and smiled. "It's really nice." Taehyung nodded.

"I'm sure it is. Namjoon is a talented writer and producer." Taehyung leaned against the wall and was silent, watching Lucy's expression for any traces of treason.

    "Taehyung, what's your point?"

    "My point?"

"I know you don't like me, and you don't want Namjoon with me." Lucy set her cup down. "And you really don't want me working with him."

"I just want to make sure that my friend isn't in a situation where he can be easily hurt and used." Taehyung's tone was measured and controlled, but so was Lucy's.

"I have no intention of hurting him." She sighed, and Taehyung couldn't help but want to believe her. "I care about Namjoon, Taehyung." He saw the sincerity in her eyes, but there was a trace of something else behind it as well.

He sighed, "I hope so Lucy because I haven't seen him care for someone this much before." With that closing remark, Taehyung turned and walked away. He wasn't satisfied with his confrontation, and he didn't believe in Lucy any more than he had earlier that morning.

What he had said about Namjoon was true too. At first, Namjoon had been infatuated with Lucy, but now Taehyung knew that he loved her. Maybe it was a one-sided and poorly based love, but it was still love.

It was that love's existence that worried Taehyung the most. Love and happy couples made him happy.

But Lucy and Namjoon just left him with a feeling of foreboding. He couldn't help but think that things would end badly for his friend.
