Chapter 11

Kuch log Qismat Ki tarha hote hain
Jo dua se milte hain
Aur kuch log dua Ki tarha hote hain
Jo mil jayen to Qismat badal dete hain

All were gathered in the living room. They were asking questions to Maheen. She is looking extremely beautiful. Anyone can select her for their son,so same thing happened here. They liked Maheen a lot. Maheen's parents were also happy for their daughter.

Farooqi's house:

Arham was out of town for a business trip. He just arrived few minutes ago.

Arham: Assalamalaikum Ammi where is Kulsum and dad can you call them i want to talk something important infront of you all.
(He is ready to talk with his parents for Maheen's hand)

Salma: Walaikumasslam beta your sister is in Maheen's house and your dad went for grocery shopping.

Arham: Okk. By the way why did she went to Maheen's house
(He asked while drinking water)

Salma: Ohh that,someone is came to see Maheen and Kulsum is there to help her

Arham:(He chokes on water)What do you mean by Someone is came to see her
.(He asked in a dangerous tone)

Salma: Areyy they are here for Maheen's hand in marriage for their son. And why are you getting angry. Tabiyath toh theek hai na tumhare (Are you alright Arham)

Arham left for his room .He breaks the mirror of his dresser. Blood is oozing out from his knuckles.

Arham: Why it's happening to me.
Agar tum meri qismat mein moujood ho toh tum meri zindagi mein zaroor aaougi Maheen.
(If you were in my destiny, then you will definetly come in my life Maheen)
Before it's late, I have to do something. And I have faith in my Allah he will make you mine only

Kulsum is back from Maheen's house

Salma: Kulsum you're back. What did they say.

Kulsum: Wait Ammi I'll tell you everything but first call bhai is he back or not

Salma: Haan he is back but I don't know why is he behaving strange from when I told him that you're in Maheen's house

Kulsum's face lits up after hearing her mother's reply. She yells for his brother to come in living room

Arham: Why are shouting like a mad woman. Are you insane.
He rudely shouts on his sister. Kulsum got tears in her eyesWhen he saw his sister's tears he feels bad for his sister. His sister got tears because of him.

Arham: I'm sorry baba stop crying please you can beat your brother just stop crying please

Kulsum understands his brother's condition and when she was about to say something her gaze went towards Arham's bloody knuckles

Kulsum: Bhai what happened to your hand. Sit here I'll get first aid for you

Salma: What did you do Arham. I'm sure it was not accident. You deliberately did it right.(she got tears in her eyes on seeing her son's condition)

Kulsum: Give me your hand bhai. Ok now tell me why did you do this.

She cleans his wound and wrapped a rolled bandage around his knuckles

Arham: Nothing behna(Sister) leave it.
He spoke in a low tone

Kulsum: Ammi don't you want to know what happened there they liked Maheen or not.

She deliberately told that to irk Arham
He got up to leave but Kulsum again made him sit on the sofa

Kulsum: Bhai listen na I'm gonna tell what happened there and now you're leaving

Arham: I don't have any interest.so please leave my way i want to take rest for sometime

Kulsum: You can take rest later. But first listen to me. So the people liked Maheen a lot
When Arham listened this he got up from the sofa to leave but Kulsum again push him on the sofa

Kulsum: I didn't complete my words. So where am I yeah they liked Maheen a lot and uncle auntie also liked their son and they both accepted the proposal but something happened there that the proposal got cancelled

When Arham listened this he jumped from the sofa and asked his sister by holding her shoulders

Arham: Is it true that the whole proposal thing got cancelled but how and why

Kulsum: Ok listen I'm gonna tell everything

When they selected Maheen the boy's family told khan's that they want this marriage asap because their son has to move to abroad within two months and he'll take his wife with her

Nawab Khan: But that's very soon, marriage in two months. We can make them engaged. Our daughter is not even complete her studies. She still has one year to complete her education.

Boy's Mother: Mr.khan there is no need to complete her education. If she is educated or not one day she has to look at her house. So what's big deal in it. She can't even stop her studies for her marriage.

Maheen got tears in her eyes after listening all this rubbish from that lady

Nawab khan: (He got angry on her daughter's insult)I'm sorry we don't want to do this marriage. You don't even respect our daughter's education her future how can we expect that she will be happy in your house. We considered both girl and boy equally. And Islam gave equal rights and respect to both genders. How can you people think like that

They left from there. Maheen got up and hugged her parents

Zainab: We're sorry beta it was happened because of us, now we don't think about your marriage until you complete your studies

Maheen: No need to say sorry mumma papa, i know you both think best for me. Forget it now

Kulsum told them everything that happened there. Arham is on cloud nine after listening this

Arham: Ammi I want to tell you all something very important let dad comes first
