It's only been a few weeks since I got grounded and I can say it fucking sucks, I'm so board and I only go to and from school, but I had an recently had an opportunity for a job so I'm gonna take it.
I returned home from school to find my dad waiting for me in the living room
"I didn't do anything wrong"I said setting my bag down
"No you didnt"he said "I just got a call from your soon to be manger". I was slightly confused I only put the application in two days before on Friday.
"What are you talking about"I questioned sitting down on the couch. He rolled his eyes
"You got the job!!" He exclaimed excitedly I sprung up from the couch in disbelief
"NO WAY!" I screamed I was so happy I started tomorrow!
4 MONTHS LATER*
I've been working at my job for four months now and I have to say it's really helping me in life.
"Dad!!!" I called "we gotta go!!!" I said I heard my dad come down the stairs keys jangling in his hand. He was wearing a Keystreet shirt black shorts and his black nikes. Typical for dad.
"Ready kiddo"Dad asked I nodded my head and headed out into the car. Soon after me dad got him and we began to drive to my school
"What's this About again?" Dad asked I sighed in annoyance
"I've told you a thousand times it's bring your parent to school day. The school has it every year."I explained
"Oh that's right! I totally forgot!" Dad exclaimed I shook my head
"Just remember don't embarrass me dad it's only my fourth month in this school" I pleaded. Dad chuckled
"I won't kiddo" he said smiling
We pulled into the school parking lot and started heading into the school.
"Don't forget to get a visitor pass at the office" I reminded him. Dad nodded in agreement. We got into the school I headed to class while my dad headed to the office.
I got to class and sat down bedside Ryan. We greated each other and just talked about random stuff.
"So Is your dad coming in today?" Ryan asked excitedly I laughed a bit
"Yeah! I believe he's either the fourth or fifth person to go" I said. Soon our teacher came in and started talking about how the bring your parent to school day is an all day thing blah blah blah. I rolled my at Ryan and pointed to the teacher, he snickered and nodded. Soon we all got called to cafeteria, Ryan and I met up with Em and we all sat together.
"Is your dad here Kara?" Em asked me
"Yeah!" I said "he's somewhere around here" I stated. Soon the event began, after about 3 boring jobs and Ryan's dad my dad was up. My dad walked up to the stage immediately one kid from the back shouted at dad "YOUR TATS ARE DOPE!" Causing everyone to laugh including my dad.
"Hello everyone, my name is Tony Perry my daughter is Kara Perry. Does anyone know who I am?" My dad asked Ryan and Em raised their hands.
"You're in a band!" Em called out
"Correct" dad responded "I am in a band Called
Pierce The Veil, we travel all around the word" dad continued. After a long speel I've heard a million times was over my dad answered some questions, thanked everyone and came and sat down by me
"How'd I'd do kiddo?" Dad asked I smiled at him
"Amazing!" I said "thanks for coming dad" I said
"Of course sweetheart, anything for you" my dad kisses my head and turned his attention back to the rest of the parents.
After all the parents finished the rest of the day went by pretty fast, all we did was have different activity's in each room oh and pizza for lunch. The final bell rang and me and dad headed home.
"I had fun today dad" I said, I saw him smile
"I did too!" Dad said
" do you wanna go out for dinner? We can swing by and pick up Erin" I suggest
"Yeah. That sounds like a good idea, call her up and tell her to get ready" dad asked I nodded. I grabbed my phone and called Erin and told her to get ready. We arrived back at the house and Erin got in then we were off again.
"Were here!" My dad chimed I unbuckled my seatbelt and we all headed inside. We were sat and given menus.
"I think I'm gonna get the fish" i said
"Im getting the tofu burger" Erin says
"Gross" I said Erin looked at me funny
"What's so gross about it?" She asked
"Dad used to eat it a lot and i just never liked it" i explained Erin nodded, soon the waiter came back and took our orders and our food came back pretty quick
We ate and payed and got back into the car. I fell asleep on the way home,it was a pretty decent day I'd say.
