They had all offered to go out, but I knew better than doing that, they always went to a diary cafe a few blocks from the school, mostly on Fridays or at least once or twice a week.

If I had no extracurricular activity at school I was supposed to go straight home and that's what I did so hanging out with them was a major no-no.

I was that one friend who was considered boring and always seemed to have something to do, I was the girl who had lots of friends but at the same time I didn't really have any.

I lay waiting for the afternoon pubic bus and went straight home as usual.

"Just in time Amanda," my mom said as I walked threw the door, she was at the small table in the living room, which is what you see as you enter our house, the living room isn't much though, it had three couches two long, one short, a small coffee table which I call the living room table, pictures hanging on the wall of the oddest patterns ever, a few potted plants, floor pillows, a footstool, a love seat and white curtains.

"Remember when I said I'd be asking you to bring your fathers' dinner to him?"

I nodded

"I need you to do that this evening, which is a few minutes from now " she stated as she stopped shuffling around.

"Turn off the stove in the next 15 minutes," she said as she looked at the clock above the television

"Ok mom," I said as I entered the kitchen and set a 14 min alarm on my phone
Mom was upstairs currently getting ready for work.

I sat there doing childish things as I waited on the time to finish, I also looked in the pot now and then to see if the time was accurate.

" you can eat first if you want,"  she said when she came downstairs all dressed and ready
"You don't have to leave right now," she said once more making her meaning or point clear.

She shared the foods by placing it in a container then left with hers.

I ate my dinner as she suggested then left out for my dads' place.

I hadn't really seen my dad in a few days and I started to even wonder if he was even coming home.

It wasn't that far and the next bus wouldn't be here until about the next hour or two.

My dad worked night shifts at a garage not that far away, so that's where I was going, to the garage my dad worked.

I was there in the next thirty - five (35) or so minutes.

Unfortunately, he wasn't there, they said he went out to get a few new parts necessary for fixing a car, I waited about 20 minutes until I began to get impatient but he still hadn't returned as yet and outside was starting to get really dark so I placed his food on his desk and left.

It was indeed getting darker by the seconds and I'm not going to lie I was indeed feeling a little afraid.

"Amanda ?" I heard someone say when I was about halfway threw my journey, no scratch that I knew who it was that English accent wasn't gonna hide.

And indeed I turned around and saw Terrance,
I gave him a puzzled look as he walked a little faster to catch up with me or at least that's how it seemed since I wasn't walking very fast.

He began to walk with me in silence but it looked more like I was walking with him, but let's just say we walked, together.

"Are you always like this?" I asked bluntly after a while of silence.

His head turned to look at me, his hands where in his pocket and his eyes looked so bright even though the sun was down.

"Like what ?" He asked, his accent was so alluring.

"Never mind" I stated as we continue to walk, I wasn't dumb, he knew what I meant.

"Not a lot of people questions the way I am, they just seem to go with it," he said after a while but I didn't answer, a part of me told me not to.

Cars passed us every now and then but the road was pretty lonely other than that and the person walking almost side to side with me.

Out of nowhere two men jumped out of bushes and grabbed my bag which was held loosely around my arm.

I quickly noticed what was happening and pulled the bag back when the man attempted to run off with it.
The man obviously didn't expect it because he stumbled back towards me, long enough for me to hit him in the face. The look of shock on the man's face was priceless and the way he went down when I punched him again out of fear was just indescribable.

I glimpsed over at Terrance and noticed the other guy was holding a knife towards him and even then Terrance's face showed almost nothing while mine on the other hand, well let's just say my eyes and mouth were wide open.
His face gave the expression of wanting all this to be over as quickly as possible, but maybe I was seeing something else because of the shock that was going threw my body like electrical impulses.

The man's hand trembled with the knife as he took a glimpse at the guy I had accidentally knocked out.
You could see that this was a new thing for him. Who knows maybe he had a valuable reason for trying to rob someone.

Terrance took that as an advantage, he grabbed the man's hand and twisted it until a sickening crack was heard and the man screamed in pain. It all happened so fast.

The man screamed in pain and I winced

I stared in shock as the knife fell to the ground.

"Let's go," Terrance said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me along as he ran, I stumbled behind him as he basically dragged me.

"Are you ok Amanda?" he asked when we finally stopped running but I didn't answer, plus it didn't even sound fully as if it was a question,
"Amanda, are you hurt?" He questioned again and I shook my head no.

He grabbed the hand in which I used to punch the guy and I winced in pain. I guess it's gonna really hurt after all this adrenalin is gone.

"Come on," he said as he guided me to my house.

Once we were on my front porch he started to look at my hand.

"You twisted his hand, you broke it, " I said still with wide eyes as I looked out of space.

"No, I twisted his wrist and I dislocated it, theirs a difference," he said In that calm I don't care about the rest of the world voice and facial expression with his English accent. I wasn't dum it was obvious that he broke that guy's hand.

"I knocked out a guy" the events of the night was finally catching up with me.

"All those extra credit classes finally paid off," I said to myself self-feeling a little proud.

Terrance frowned his eyebrows in confusion but it quickly went back to normal as soon as it came.

"You're so foolish," he said in his calm voice as always as if that isn't an offence.

"Excuse me?" I asked shocked that he said that but he didn't reply he pressed down on another joint in my hand but I refused to show that it hurt

He then released my hand and walked away towards his house

"What was he doing out that late anyway?" I asked myself, 'where was he coming from ' my brain asked

I watched him as he calmly walked to his house, he didn't even look back, not even once.

I quickly opened the house door and closed it just as fast when I entered

'What a night' I thought

I quickly walked up to my room and lay down

The boy next door is dangerous, it's obvious somethings wrong with him from his composer alone.

How could he have dislocated someone's wrist and not feel guilty right now? , I mean I knocked out a guy and I feel hella guilty.

A few moments after laying down I saw the reflection of his room light shining threw my window curtains and into my room.

I stared threw the reflection of his light until it was turned off and that's when I fell asleep. I fell asleep with a million things going threw my mind, a million little thoughts.
