Chapter 30

"Ah that was a delicious cake" Matsuri said
"You really love cake don't you?" Yuzu asked
"Yep! You guys will buy me another one next time we go over there" Matsuri said
"What the? Why the fuck should we?" Yuzu asked
"Because I said so" Matsuri said and sticked her tongue out
"Hehe yeah whatever" Yuzu said
"Hey let's head to your place" Matsuri said
"Huh? Why should I allow you guys to come to my place?" Yuzu asked
"Because we're your friends and I want to see Midnight again" Matsuri said
"I'm pretty sure Midnight hates me" Shai said
"Nonsene. She acts like that around others" Yuzu said
"Yeah to people who she hates" Shai said
"Oh come on. I bet she wants to see you again" Matsuri said
"Fuck no. That cat hates me and I'm pretty sure that the cat isn't even a fucking cat" Shai said
"You got that right. It's a beast" Matsuri said and laughed
"Eh? What do you mean?" Shai asked
"Well during my night at Mei-san's place. I saw her bring in a guy who kept asking her out. Suddenly her cat Midnight turned into a shadow monster thing..." Matsuri said
"What? A shadow monster?" Yuzu asked
"A-and what happened to the man?" Shai asked
"Well what do you think? If that cat turned into a beast what would it do?" Matsuri asked
"Uhm...kill the victim" Shai said
"Ding ding ding! Correct but Mei-san did help out and killed that bastard too" Matsuri said
"That's cool" Yuzu said. Matsuri walked and gasped
"Huh? Why did you gasp all the sudden?" Yuzu asked. Matsuri just ran heading to an alley without answering Yuzu
"Where the hell is she going?" Shai asked
"One way to find out" Yuzu said and started running while Shai followed her from behind. They both ran where Matsuri ran and arrived at am alley
"Matsuri why the fuck did you ran away? What happened?" Yuzu asked
"K-kitties..." Matsuri mumbled
"Huh? What?" Yuzu asked
"Kitties are hurt" Matsuri whimpered as she held a box filled with injuried kittens. Yuzu and Shai gasped then kneeled down looking at the small kitties
"A-are they alive?" Yuzu asked
"They're still breathing b-but with those injuries they won't last very long..." Matsuri said. Shai was just in tears and started whimpering since she couldn't handle these types of situations especially with cute little animals
"Hey calm down. We'll rescue them" Yuzu said
"And find out who did this to these poor kitties..." Matsuri growled
"We'll worry about that later. Right now we must cure them" Yuzu said
"H-how?" Shai asked as her voice cracked
"Healing. We have powers you idiots" Yuzu said
"B-but...wouldn't it hurt them?" Shai asked
"We really haven't used powers on animals before..." Matsuri said
"We have no other choice. We must heal them fast" Yuzu said
"B-but who has healing powers?" Shai asked
"I-I can only revive people by transferring dark magic..." Matsuri said
"Then do it" Yuzu said
"What!?" Shai and Matsuri exclaimed
"Are you insane?!" Shai exclaimed
"Just do it. Trust me. Midnight will be taking care of them" Yuzu said
"Are you serious?" Shai asked
"Do you want them to die?" Yuzu asked
"Fine. I'll do it. Hopefully this works" Matsuri said as she placed her hand above their bodies and used dark magic to revive them. The kittens woke up and started to cry
"Awww don't worry kittens. We'll take care of you" Matsuri said as she carried a black and white cat with green eyes. The kitten purred and started to nuzzle against Matsuri's chest. Shai noticed a pure white cat with a bit of black fur on it's paws with blue eyes. The kitten stood on it's hind legs with it's front paws up in the air. Shai smiled and carried the small kitten in her arms. The kitten looked at her and started nibbling on her finger gently. Shai giggled softly feeling a bit ticklish. Finally the third kitten was black and white as well with two different eye colors. It's right eye was green and the left eye was blue
"Ooooh this one has different eye color" Yuzu said
"I get a feeling that these kitties are somewhat related to Midnight just because of the green eyes and black fur" Matsuri said
"She must've mated with a white cat then" Shai said and giggled
"Come on. We should take them home and feed them" Yuzu said. The three kittens were taken away by the three women as they all headed back home. Yuzu walked to the front door and knocked it. Midnight opened the door and her ears perked up seeing three kittens
"Meow?" Midnight asked
"Hey Midnight. From now on you will be a mama" Yuzu said putting the kitten down and so did the rest. The three kittens looked up at Midnight and walked up to her. Midnight looked down on them and hissed
"Awwww stop being so mean Midnight. You should be excited! You're becoming a mama!" Yuzu said. Midnight just hissed and bit down on a kitten then threw it
"MIDNIGHT!" They exclaimed. Yuzu ran up to the kitten but the kitten seemed fine since it had shadows coming from its body. Midnight just looked at the kitten and started sensing dark magic from them
"Meow meow meow" Midnight said. Yuzu and the two others stood there not understanding what she was saying
"Uh...well I don't understand what the fuck you're saying but you must be wondering about the powers. You see uh we found them in an alley inside a box. They were severely injured and we had to do something so Matsuri used her powers transferring some dark magic. That's why I said you'll be their new mama because you're a cat I guess with demonic powers" Yuzu said
"We should feed them now" Matsuri said
"They're still small so I guess warm milk will do" Yuzu said and walked inside the mansion followed by the others. Yuzu went to the kitchen and started preparing warm milk for the small kittens. The kittens were playing with Shai and Matsuri while Midnight was on the couch curled up into a ball still not accepting the three kittens. Midnight looked at them and hissed
"Hey Midnight start getting used to them. They'll be living here until they grow up" Matsuri said
"If they grow up then who will adopt them because I don't think people would want a demonic cat living in their place" Shai said
"Hmm? Hey why don't we take care of them?" Matsuri asked
"Huh? Us?" Shai asked
"We cam take one each and take care of them" Matsuri said
"I'm not so sure. I'm more of a dog person and I have plenty of dogs already and puppies so...it's a mess. I've been looking for a home for all the pups but...on second thought I better keep them. People out here in the world can be so cruel to animals. I hate it..." Shai growled
"Don't worry we'll definitely find that bastatd who abandoned these kittens" Matsuri said. Yuzu came back to the living room with a bowl filled with warm milk. She put the bowl down and all the kittens surrounded it as they started drinking milk
"Awwwwww so adorable" Matsuri said and petted their heads softly
"They're so cute especially when their drinking milk" Shai said
"Hehe I know" Yuzu said and looked up at Midnight who seemed to be more upset than usual. She sighed and walked to the kitchen since she prepared warm milk for Midnight too. Yuzu walked up to the couch and put the bowl in front of the couch. Midnight's ears perked up and looked down at the bowl then looked up at Yuzu. Yuzu smiled and petted her head softly
"Don't think I forgot about you Midnight. Enjoy" Yuzu said and walked over to the kittens. Midnight just stood up and jumped off the couch then started drinking the warm milk
"Eh? Why did you give her milk?" Matsuri asked
"Well that's how Midnight is. She gets jealous too if you don't pay attention to her even though she hisses at you and acts like she hates you" Yuzu said and laughed softly
"Will Mei-san be okay with this?" Matsuri asked
"She'll definitely be okay" Yuzu said as she smiled

People walked by the cafe and looked at the two women. They started murmuring a few things about them. Mei ended up inviting Harumin to the cafe to talk about Isha and other things. For other people it seemed that they were on a date which annoyed them the most
"Do you think it's time to leave?" Harumin asked
"Yes...we should" Mei said. They stood up and walked out of the cafe. Harumin and Mei walked together for a bit earning a couple of stares from the people
"These assholes are fucking annoying..." Harumin said
"Tell me about it. They should really mind their own business" Mei said
"Hey weren't you going to head back to your place to see Yuzucchi?" Harumin asked
"Yes but now I have to deal with Isha. You don't know what the bitch has planned..." Mei said
"Do you think she would want to ruin our relationships?" Harumin asked
"Of course she would. She still hates me for what I did back then but it wasn't my fault" Mei said
"Yeah I suppose" Harumin said
"Do you want me to walk you home?" Mei asked
"No thanks. I'm fine besides...I bet Matsuri isn't home yet" Harumin said as she pulled out her phone to call Matsuri
"Who is she with right now?" Mei asked
"With her friends Yuzu and Shai. That's what she told me" Harumin said
"Hey" Matsuri said answering the phone
"Where are you?" Harumin asked
"Mei-san's place with Shai and Yuzu" Matsuri said
"What are you doing over there?" Harumin asked
"If you come then you'll see why. See ya" Matsuri said and hanged up
"That little bitch..." Harumin mumbled
"What now?" Mei asked
"She's at your place with her friends. I don't know why..." Harumin said
"Well let's get going" Mei said. Suddenly a car pulled up and Himeko pulled down the window
"Need a ride?" Himeko asked
"Yes please. I can't stand these people taking pictures of us" Harumin said as she entered inside the car
"Thanks Himeko" Mei said as she got in too. The driver took the women to the Aihara mansion where loud noises were heard from
"What the hell is going on in there?" Harumin asked
"If they did some sort of party...Yuzu is dead" Mei said and got out of the car. She walked to the front door and opened it only to find a huge shadow with the three friends wrapped around them
"Midnignt. Stop. Now" Mei said sternly. The huge shadow released the three women and shrunk turning back into its cat form
"Meow" Midnight said
"What's all the noise coming from?" Harumin asked
"Were you three playing around or something?" Himeko asked. Suddenly the three kittens appeared and walked up to Mei
"Meow" The kittens said cutely. Mei just sighed and looked up at Yuzu who was on the floor with Matsuri and Shai
"Yuzu. Explanation. Now" Mei said with her stern tone and expression
"Yeah Yuzu. Explain what the hell happened" Matsuri said
"Don't look at me. It was you" Yuzu said
"Guys don't start again" Shai said
"But it was Matsuri" Yuzu said
"You provoked me" Matsuri said. Suddenly the three started arguing again which gave Midmight a headache and walked over to Mei. Mei just growled and walked up to them
"Enough! The three of you sit!" Mei said. They all stopped arguing as they sat down with their mouths shut
"Now explain. Who brought those kittens in here?" Mei asked
"Yuzu"
"Matsuri"
"Shai"
All the three women looked at each other and pointed at each other
"You three seriously act like kids..." Mei sId
"Well you see we found those kittens abandoned and alone. They were also severely injured that we had to do something or else they would die. So we thought of using our magic on them and-"
"Wait...did you actually use magic to heal them?" Mei asked
"Uh...yeah?" Yuzu said not so sure
"But none of you have to power to heal" Mei said
"I wouldn't say we healed them more like...improved them" Matsuri said
"Improved them? What do you mean by that?" Mei asked. Suddenly the three kittens started playing around and shadows appeared from their bodies. Midnight came up to the kittens and started licking their heads softly
"What did you actually do?" Mei asked
"We uh...used dark magic" Yuzu said
"Dark magic? Are you serious? Who's idea was that?" Mei asked. Shai and Matsuri immediately pointed at Yuzu accusing her. Yuzu just glared at them but trembled as Mei glared at her
"Are you serious?" Mei asked
"Y-yes...but they went along with the plan" Yuzu said
"Well...I guess we have no other choice. I'll keep them here since Midnight's taking care of them but the three of you shouldn't use your magic for things like this. Especially you Matsuri" Mei said
"Yeah yeah" Matsuri said and got up
"Eh? It's time to head home?" Shai asked
"Well duh the sun is setting. Well it was great to hang out. We should do it again sometime" Matsuri said and giggled
"Bye Yuzu and good luck" Shai said. Once they were gone and taken home, Yuzu was still sitting down on the floor and looked up at Mei. She stood up and grabbed Mei pulling her into a kiss. Mei's eyes widen and blushed deeply. She pulled away and looked away
"I-it's better if we d-do it in my r-room" Mei said
"Okay Mei~" Yuzu whispered
