Chapter 35

"Wh-who the hell are you?" Matsuri asked as she stepped back but couldn't go any further back. The pair of red glowing eyes just got closer to her and saw white sharp teeth that looked like it was smiling but of course she couldn't see the body since everything was black which blended in because it was a shadow she was talking to
"C-can you speak?" Matsuri asked
"Of course I can" The shadow said
"S-so mind explaining what on earth are you doing to me?" Matsuri asked
"I'll tell you in a minute but tell me...why have you awoken me? What is it that you desire?" The shadow asked as the pair of red glowing eyes were floating around Matsuri
"Wh-what? What the hell do you mean I awoken you?" Matsuri asked
"Doesn't the girl desire something from...the Devil?" The shadow asked
"H-huh? But you look nothing like the Devil. The Devil has horns I guess...or maybe he has flames?" Matsuri said
"Of course not but the people have called you the Devil which is me who they're talking about" The shadow said
"Wh-what do you mean? I earned that name" Matsuri said
"Because of me. I'm the one who helped you switch your personality. I'm the one who helped your body get in shape. I'm the one who saved your life" The shadow said
"H-huh? Wait...wh-what do you mean?" Matsuri asked
"If it weren't for me...you would've actually died back there" The shadow said
"N-no...wh-what?" Matsuri asked
"Don't you remember?" The shadow asked
Flashback
Matsuri teleported and ended up landing hard on the ground in a forest. Matsuri groaned in pain and coughed blood. She gasped for air and tried to move but her body wasn't responding
"G-gah! Damnit!" Matsuri shouted and coughed. She clenched her fists tightly and tried to move. Matsuri felt everything start to go numb and everything fade
"N-no...please...I-I don't want to die" Matsuri mumbled and felt her heart start to slow down. She teared up as she felt everything start to go black
"H-help me...H-haru..min..." Matsuri mumbled taking her last breath. Suddenly a dark shadow was passing by searching for someone
"Queen...queen...my queen..." The shadow mumbled and kept searching. It then looked up seeing a young girl's dead body. The shadow crawled up to her and looked through at her body. It then sensed some magic from the Okogi queen
"My queen! She's alive!" The shadow exclaimed and looked at the young girl
"This girl...needs my help. Don't worry kid...I'll save you and I will finally see Queen..." The shadow said and entered inside the young girl's body. Matsuri's body glowed as the shadow did its job and begun to heal and cure all of Matsuri's injuries with a bit of magic that it had left. Matsuri's heart started beating again and she gasped for air. She opened her eyes and looked around
"Wh-what happened?" Matsuri asked herself and sat up but groaned not able to move at all. She trembled and tried to move her fingers which she was able to do. She sighed as she stayed on the ground
'I-I won't survive like this...if I can't move then...then...I'll get killed'
Night came in and Matsuri was shivering like crazy while her stomach was growling. She groaned in pain feeling herself starve to death. She gasped hearing a couple of noises nearby which were campers who were out there
"Hey! Help me! Someone!" Matsuri shouted crying out for help. The campers then pulled out their flashlight and started to find where the noise was coming from
"You heard that?"
"Yeah it must be coming from over there"
"Let's check it out"
Matsuri kept shouting and crying for help until the campers arrived. Her eyes widen seeing they were...
'Ugh...men...no...'
"Huh? Hey what is a little girl doing over here?" The man asked and walked over to her
"I-I got lost. I can't move b-because I got attacked" Matsuri said
"Do you know who attacked you?" The man asked
"I-I don't remember. Please take me h-home" Matsuri cried
"Don't worry kid. We'll get help in the morning. Right now. We should get you inside mear the warm fire" The man said and carried Matsuri. Matsuri trembled but kept herself calm. The man took her back to their tent and laid her down
"Relax kid. I won't hurt you" The man said
"Y-yeah..." Matsuri said looking away
"I'll sleep with you tonight" The man said which scared Matsuri
"N-no. Please sleep with the other g-guys" Matsuri said
"Oh come on. I won't hurt a pretty cute girl like you" The man said as he reached her hand to touch her. Matsuri teared up and trembled as she flashbacks of her father hurting her and kicking her to the ground. She growled and jumped up at the man feeling some sort of power inside her body and attacked
"Gaaah! H-help! Arrrrggghh!" The man cried out. The other two men came in seeing the dead body in the young girl's arms
"I-it's a monster!" The men shouted and tried to run but shadows came from Matsuri's body and attacked the men killing them in an instant. Matsuri trembled and coughed blood before collapsing to the ground
End Of Flashback
Matsuri gasped and trembled as she fell on her knees
"See? I saved you. If it weren't for me you would've been raped by that scary man" The shadow said. Matsuri tried to process the information and looked at the pair of red eyes
"H-hey...why did you save me?" Matsuri asked
"You had the queen's power...a bit of her scent was in your body. I've been searching for my queen all these years and now I have found her" The shadow said
"Q-queen? Wait...who? Who is the queen you're looking for?" Matsuri asked
"The Okogi Queen. The queen I have served for years now...until she died...I got hurt and injured. I've been searching and searching all these years looking for an Okogi...until I found you. You had her scent and power. I realized that if I lived in your body you would've taken me to her and you did but now...I have hurt the queen. You've used me for the wrong purpose which makes me want to kill you for hurting the queen" The shadow said and Matsuri trembled feeling something tighten around her neck but it only last for a second
"But...since the queen actually cares for you and treats you with respect...I won't hurt you. You are important to her just like I was to her..." The shadow said
"S-so...what kind of relationship do you have with the queen?" Matsuri asked
"The only relationship is friends. I am her Royal Guard. I protect and look after the queen and see if she's doing okay. The queen created me with her very two hands and has honored me to be her trustworthy Guard. It's a great honor to serve to the queen and protect her. She has given me life and I was able to experience many things in this world" The shadow said
"And uhm... why are you talking or telling me this now?" Matsuri asked
"You've awoken me. Your desire is what woke me and now that I'm awake...you owe me for everything I've done for you" The shadow said
"A-and how do you w-want me to repay you? D-do you want to kill people? Is that what you want?" Matsuri asked
"No...I'm not like that. You may think I'm like that but I'm not. I won't do such thing but...I do want to kill. But not kill innocent and fragile creatures. Creatures like those campers and your parents are creatures I despise the most..." The shadow hissed
"So you're basically saying that bad guys are people that you hate?" Matsuri asked
"Yes. Don't you believe that those types of people in this world deserve to die?" The shadow asked
"W-well...yeah. They shouldn't do bad things to other people but...c-can't they change? Shouldn't you at least give them a second chance?" Matsuri asked
"Second chances don't exist where I am from. Once you've made a mistake...you're dead. It doesn't matter if it was an accident..." The shadow said
"Wow..." Matsuri said
"I think we should end our conversation. You should go back to your place and work..." The shadow said
"H-huh? Wait but-"
"We can talk later and now that you have awoken me...you'll get what you desired the most" The shadow said before vanishing. Matsuri looked around and saw the light again
O-oh...I'm back?
Matsuri looked around and walked out of the alley where she stood then saw Harumin wave goodbye at the man she was talking to. Matsuri clenched her fists tightly and took a deep breathe
Just stay calm...
Matsuri walked down the streets heading to the shop. Harumin turned around and noticed Matsuri
"Baby!" Harumin said and ran up to Matsuri pulling her into a kiss. Matsuri kissed her back but pulled away quickly
"Yeah I'm back" Matsuri said and smiled a bit before walking into the shop. Harumin looked at her for a moment and touched her lips
That kiss...didn't felt...love...

Shai looked out the window seeing the sun
Hm? It's almost sunset. I better check on Himeko before the crazy bitch comes back
Shai stood up from her seat and walked out of her office. She looked around seeing a couple of people still working
Hehe poor them. They have to work all night
"Shai" Chrissy said. Shai's eyes widen and jumped as she backed up from Chrissy
"H-hi!" Shai said and trembled. Chrissy smiled and walked up to her as Shai stepped back until her back touched the wall. Chrissy smirked and looked at her crystal eyes
"Where do you think you're going?" Chrissy asked
"I-I uh...was going to H-himeko's office" Shai said as she trembled
"Hm? Can I ask you something?" Chrissy asked
"Wh-what is it?" Shai asked
"Do you really like Himeko? What makes her attractive? What do you like about her?" Chrissy asked
"Wh-why do you care? It's none of your business" Shai said
"Is it? Hehe...you know I sorta like it when you turn aggressive. It sorta turns me on~" Chrissy said as she got closer pressing her body against hers. Shai's eyes widen and blushed deeply as she looked away
"H-hey stop it" Shai said
"Awww do you really want me to stop or do you actually enjoy this?" Chrissy asked and got closer to her face. Shai just covered her lips so that they didn't make any contact with hers
"B-back off" Shai said and pushed her away. Shai just glared at her before walking away
"Hmph. How pathetic...she really isn't going to leave Himeko. What does my cousin have that I don't? The eyebrows? Is that what she's attracted too?" Chrissy asked herself. Shai just walked to Himeko's office and walked inside. Himeko just finished putting her paperwork inside and her laptop
"Did it happen again?" Himeko asked a bit sternly. Shai just walked up to her and wrapped her arms around her
"Yes but I pushed that bitch away so don't worry. She didn't kiss me" Shai said as she smiled
"Yet..." Himeko growled. Shai just held her closely and grabbed her bag
"Let's go home and rest. I want you in my arms and cuddle you" Shai said as she kissed her cheek softly
"Okay" Himeko said and blushed. Shai and Himeko walked out then looked around
"Good. She left" Shai said
"Let's get out of here before she appears out of nowhere" Himeko said and grabbed Shai's hand taking her away. Shai followed her to the elevator and went to the bottom floor where their car was waiting. The driver was prepared and opened the door for the couple. He went to the driver's seat and drove away heading back to the Momokino's mansion. Shai held Himeko's hand and cuddled her during the ride like a little pup. Himeko blushed and stroked Shai's beautiful white hair
"Shai you're so beautiful" Himeko whispered
"You're very cute Himeko. Hehe I still remember our first meeting" Shai said and hugged her
"S-sorry if I was acting mean to you the first time" Himeko said
"Nah it's fine. It's cute when you get mad" Shai said and started playing with her hair
"St-stop messing with my hair" Himeko said
"But I enjoy playing with your hair. It's really cute" Shai said and sniffed her hair
"And it smells so nice. I love your scent Shai whispered
"E-enough Shai you know w-we're not alone" Himeko whispered
"Yeah yeah..." Shai said and rubbed her thigh softly. Himeko blushed deeply and slapped her hand away
"Ouch" Shai said
"We're still not alone" Himeko said
"But I know you want it" Shai whispered
"Do you want to sleep on the couch?" Himeko asked
"Okay I'll be a good girl" Shai said
"Good girl" Himeko said patting her head softly like a pup then leaned in giving her a small kiss. Once they arrived, they both got out of the car and headed inside. Shai stopped sensing something and looked around the area
"Shai? You coming?" Himeko asked
"Huh? O-oh yeah. I'm coming" Shai said and walked inside the mansion. The person hid inside the alley holding out the knife panting heavily
"Hahahahaha...tonight I will...kill her" She whispered
