Miracle's POV

A nurse peeked in then said "Ms.Thomas you have a visitor"
I nodded in acceptance then once I saw who walked in my whole facial expression changed

It was my dad

"Hey baby girl" he said with an uneasy smile

I looked at him blankly then looked over at my mother and asked her "What the hell is he doing here?"

She closed her eyes and exhaled "Can you guys step out for a moment please?" She asked Devante and my friends

they nodded then walked out leaving Myself with Zion asleep on my chest and My mother and Father alone staring at each other in silence

my mother broke the silence "I know this is a lot to take in but we talked and decided to leave the past in the pas-"

I cut her off in shock "You knew about this ma?" She nodded as she shut her eyes for a moment

He said "I understand why your not too happy to see me right no-" I cut him off

I chuckled and said "Oh no you don't understand. Do you realize how long it's been huh? Over ten damn years and now you wanna make a grand entrance like you've been there for me and mommy through it all. I was up for FIVE HOURS giving birth and the whole time I thought about how mom had to go through that ALL BY HERSELF because you weren't there. What are you here for, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU HERE NOW HUH?!?"  I boomed at him with tears bursting through my eyes and I saw him wipe away his tears then he stormed out

My mother came up to me and told me  as she cried "Calm down honey it's okay, breath I know it's a lot you have every right to be angry but you have to at least try to give him a chance"

I shook my head "No I can't, why are you even giving him a chance after all those things he did to you?!" I sobbed

She wiped my face and told me "Baby listen, when he called me that day I didn't welcome him with open arms it took me a week to call him back and talk it out but our conversation made me consider letting you guys try to build up a relationship"

I shook my head and sat there in silence then spoke "I just need some time to think ma"

She nodded and brushed her hand softly down the side of my face "Take all the time you need honey" she said and with that she left, I guess to find my dad

A couple moments later Devante walked in with Zarah asleep in his arms "Hey baby, how you feeling?"
He asked as he sat down and held my hand

I exhaled sharply then the water works started up again, I tried to say something but I just couldn't.

Devante picked up the twins and put them in their cribs then quickly came back to me and held me rocking us side to side

I sobbed "I just don't understand it De, why would he come back after all this time?"

Devante sniffled which let me know he was crying "I don't know baby, I don't know" he muttered
