Meditation:
Based on your reading today, what does the shield of faith represent? What does the arrow represent? What quenches these arrows?

According to an anonymous author from gotquestions.org , he stated:

Satan's attacks can sometimes cause us to doubt God. Faith prompts us to believe God. We give in to temptation when we believe what it has to offer is better than what God has promised. Faith reminds us that, though fulfillment of God's promise may not be readily visible to us, God is true to His Word. When Satan attempts to plague us with doubt or entice us with instant gratification, faith recognizes the deceptiveness of his tactics and quickly extinguishes the arrows.

What is faith? What does it mean to have faith?

Ask God to take you deeper into study. If faith is our shield, what should we be guarding? How do we obtain a fierce and strong faith to persevere unto the end? Consider Heb. 12:2 , who owns the shield and how do we get it?

Allow God to search your heart. Are you using the shield or casting it aside when the arrows of Satan comes? Is your shield fully furnished, strong, and mighty? Who is holding the shield your master gave you? You or did you give it to the enemy?

Where does your faith truly lie? To God or to your intelligence? To God or to the hard work of your father? To God or to the hours you spend on study? To God or to your years of training in writing? To God or to your smart friend to teach you? Assess and find your place right now.
