Anne's P.O.V.

"I told you this was a terrible idea." - I said as we stopped at a traffic light. To describe our situation briefly, I was driving and sitting behind the wheel trying to avoid a nerve-wreck while Tzuyu was in the back seat, trying to calm down her nephew.

"You know you're not helping at all." - she said glaring at me.

"Okay, that's it." - I said as I pulled over.

"What are you doing? We need to go home." - Tzuyu whined on the verge of tears.

"We will but not before we eat something. I'm not taking any of this shit with an empty stomach." - I told her as I went to the driveway.

"Oh..." - Tzuyu sighed and continued to caress the baby's stomach. - "Maybe he is hungry too." - I nodded.

"Maybe. How do you plan to feed him? Will you start breastfeeding?" - I asked.

"Anne, please be a little more helpful." - she pleaded. - "They gave us some milk but we will need to get some more from somewhere or we will have to use infant formulae." - I looked at her from the rearview mirror. She was beautiful as ever. I guess having a baby near her really made her happier. Even if he was crying non-stop.

"Fine. Here you are." - I said as I handed her a sandwich. - "I'll take you two home now and after I'll  buy some stuff for him, okay?" -she gave me a sweet smile which reminded me why I'm doing this.

After we arrived I helped her carry the baby in, while he still cried loudly.

"He'll tire out soon and fall asleep." - I told her as I put down the baby seat on the sofa.

"That sounds cruel. I'll take him out and try to rock him. He doesn't accept the bottle." - she sounded like she would be the first one to sleep.

"Babe, it's fine. We're new to him, it'll take time for him to get used to us." - I said as I pulled her in for a hug. After she let go of me she went to the child and picked him up to put him on her shoulder.

"Sssh, Luca it's fine." - Tzuyu soothed him quietly, which seemed to work because he kept quiet.- "You know what you need to buy?" - she asked me whispering.

"Yes. I'll be back in an hour. Close the door and don't let anyone in, okay?" - I asked as I kissed her forehead slowly.

"Thanks babe." - she said as I stepped out.

When I finished in the store I looked in my trolley and saw all the things I bought for this child. A bed, diapers, dummies, food, bottles, clothes, blankets, rattles, some picture books, tea for stomachache and all kind of other shits. I can't believe we're seriously doing this. Raising a child after three months in a relationship is not going to be an easy thing. I packed everything in the car and got in I started to realize what I've gotten myself into.

It's not just permanent. I took responsibility for another person for a lifetime. It's not like babysitting for one day or two. And it's not just Tzuyu's responsibility. It's mine too. Even if I don't like the sound of me being a parent, even if it's not my own child. Now I'm not only going to take care of Tzuyu, but another little guy too. It's a lame excuse but I'm not ready for this. I should drive away, to another city and start a new life on my own. I would do that if I got into the same situation four months ago. But too much happened since then. Most importantly Tzuyu happened. And I won't leave her. Ever. I can't let her deal with this on her own.

"Hey I'm back!" - I said as I entered with the bags. Tzuyu lied on the couch, sleeping, and there was Luca watching her with eyes wide open. - "Hmm, I see you changed roles." - I laughed and sat down on the carpet, bringing the box of the bed with me.
