"Alex, you're full of shit if you expect us, especially me, to believe you and Ashton didn't have sex. You're always wanting to have sex with people you find cute." Mandy, annoyingly chewing her gum, says.

Alex sighs and speaks up, "I never said I wanted to have sex with Ashton. I just said he was highly attractive. Enough about me and Ashton. What's up with you and Michael?" She elbows a bright red faced Michael in the arm.

"We fucked." Mandy straight out says. Like its no big deal. Of course, to her, it isn't. She's used to sleeping with guys who are toxic.

Michael's eyes widen, face turns a brighter red (if possible), and he groans.

I've never seen Michael act so awkward when talking about sex.

"Was he good?" Alex asks, as if only she and Mandy are in the room.

"You guys!" Michael yelps. "I'm clearly in the room! Can't you talk about this when I'm not near?"

"You want feedback about your sex, and penis, don't you?" Alex asks, trying not to laugh.

"Damnit!" Michael gets off the beanbag, and leaves their apartment. Probably just standing outside the door.

Alex and Mandy laugh as Michael escapes. Mandy takes Michael's place on the beanbag. They soon whisper to each other, words inaudible.

Alex looks my way and whispers something to Mandy.

"He's good. Real good." Alex says, loud enough I can hear.

Alex smiles at me. I return the smile with one of my own. My insecure smile.

Michael enters the apartment again.

"I only came back in because it's fucking pissing the rain." He slams the door and curses more under his breath.

He stands behind Mandy and Alex. Opening his mouth, he says, "Really though. Was my sex good?"

Mandy, Alex, Luke, Calum, and I all begin to laugh.

"What? I want to know if I need to improve on my thrusts."

"Michael, we were drunk. I can't tell you if you're a good sober fucker. I can only tell you if you're a good drunk fucker. And yes, you were good, to be drunk, that is." Mandy laughs.

Michael sighs in relief and laughs a bit, as well.

"Good. I thought I needed to work on my thrusts. I've had many of my ex's to say I thrust too hard. I—Shit! Did I use a condom!?"

"Yes, Michael," Mandy and Alex laugh, as well as Luke, Calum, and I, and Michael's sudden change of topic.

"You used a condom. I threw it away this morning when I woke up. Never again am I touching a condom after its been used with my bare hands." Alex and Mandy make gross faces at each other.

"Ashton..did we use a condom?" Alex asks, voice shaking.

"Yes, both times." I reassure her.

"I knew we did tod-I mean, good."

Mandy raises a brow at Alex as if to say, 'I thought you hadn't had sex with him.'

Alex lets out a nervous laugh.

"Fine. Ashton and I had just finished having sex when you four walked in."

I'm taken aback by her forwardness.

"Damn girl! Get it!" Mandy says, giving Alex a hug.

Alex laughs and hugs her back.

"But, it doesn't mean anything. Just sex."

Those words sting my heart.

My chest begins hurting, breathing becoming unstable.

I clutch my chest.

I let out a fake cough as I capture my breath again.

I guess I found the answer to my question: Nothing has, nor will ever, change between Alex and I.

It stings like a bitch.
