A sigh escaped his lips as he averted his gaze. I felt my heart grow heavy as my eyes landed on his disheveled appearance. His hair hung loosely over his eyes, hiding what must be a pained expression.
The light from the large moon that had seeped through the open curtain of the window cast an eerie glow on the unfamiliar man before me. He continued to avoid my gaze as I desperately studied him, hoping to find even the slightest of clues to who he might be.
However, the more I looked the more unfamiliar he became.
Just who was the man before me and why did he look so in pain?
