So, I'm back again. I've managed to extricate myself from the many obligations school has placed on me.
After writing harmattan semester exams (4 papers dragged over 3 weeks😭), I was informed by my project supervisor that there was no holiday, project lab work had to begin immediately.
One thing I'm still happy about is that lab work was done as a group (we are ten in this particular group).
Exams ended in the second week of March and lab work began a week after.
It initially lasted for three months filled with daily visits to the animal house and the lab, daily care of animals, our supervisor basically breathing down our necks and the worst was the fact that we had to be in the lab real early in the morning😓
For a little explanation, for the course I'm studying, lab work means working with animals (mostly rats or mice). For my project work, we are to induce a particular medical condition in them, try to treat it using plant extracts and then analyze the effects of the extracts on the animals.
Unfortunately for us, out of the six groups the animals were categorized into, only five groups survived. Hence, we had to start group six all over again; we lost all ten animals in less than two weeks😭
Presently, we have made three attempts to finish the work on group six- our fingers are crossed for success this time around🤞

o, basically, we've been on our lab work for a little over four months now and I'm really hoping it ends real soon 😪

P.s: the picture attached is of some of the animals in their cage🐁🐁
